@Xavi so its not ag but jokic who makes him better

    • Xavi
      Xavi 14 күн бұрын

@mcgrady1389 Game is evolving. At that time, centers didn't know how to use AG efficiently. Jokic is like the Curry of centers. In a few years, all centers will look like him. You can't blame AG's former teammates. They had no idea about what to do.

    • Xavi
      Xavi 16 күн бұрын

@Klaps At that time, Nuggets had other very good players. Jokic is so lucky to have great teammates every year. Someone goes, someone comes, but whatever happens, the team helps Jokic shine. Look at AG for example. He dunks 7-8 times a match, so Jokic gets free assists out of it. Having AG as your teammate gets you that many assists automatically. All I'm saying is that some portion of Jokic's great stats is automatic thanks to his teammates' abilities. I think this would be a fair take.

    • Klaps
      Klaps 16 күн бұрын

@Xavi Dawg Aaron Gordon WAS a role player until Jokic. He’s playing the best he’s ever played because Jokic enables HIM to do so, and that Sabonis comparison is easily the stupidest take I’ve ever seen. Jokic has the best post footwork and touch in the nba, and he’s proven that he can score whenever he wants, wherever he wants. He literally carried his team to a WCF without most of those so called stars on his team. He’s most def a superstar.

  • Karl Tanner

Every single one of these passes would be the best pass of most players' careers. Jokic easily fills a 30 minute montage with them.

I remember videos of him as a kid playing basketball for local clubs in Vojvodina. I took notice of him when he first appeared in our national selections playing in international tournaments. There was something about him even when he was a youngster. As a person who trained basketball, I knew that he would be good. But how good, I could not imagine. When I saw him playing for the Nuggets the first year he was drafted, that was the year I started following NBA again after a long hiatus (Ever since the Sacramento Kings lost to the Lakers in the 2002 conference finals). I started following the NBA again because of this man and I am not sorry. He's a joy to watch, because he plays this beautiful sport exactly as it should be played. All people who enjoy basketball in its purest form should enjoy watching him play. There won't be another one like him in a long time.

Jokic is going to have such a big group of former teammates there in person when he is one day inducted into the Hall of Fame, he loves getting his guys the ball if they stay active and cut to the rim.
One of my favorite things is just watching the guy who is supposed to be defending Jokic in awe or immediately going to yell at the ref because the pass was so perfectly done. Also missed my favorite one against the Clippers when they had him triple teamed in the closing seconds last spring, and he goes across the court straight into AGs hands for an open game winning 3.

@Brandon Beasonone crazy thing I learned the other day is he's got 2,000 more points then Joel Embild just because Joel puts up 30 a night doesn't mean his career numbers will even touch what Jokic does that ol meaning availability is the most important part of your game is true Jokic might have 25k points with 10k rebounds assist in where Joel might not even get 20k points because he's injured alot.

    • Brandon Beason
Brandon Beason 2 ай бұрын +6

@Tinow_ I don't see his game regressing a ton for at least another 6-7 years. Who knows once in his 30's at his size if the body holds up, but because he's not jumping through the roof etc he def has a chance for some serious longevity. Then it becomes when does a guy just decide they're done. If he plays another decade his stats could all triple still. Like 10,000 plus assists from a center. Then he has to be a top 10 or better all time player.

    • Brandon Beason
Brandon Beason 2 ай бұрын +3

@Basa sure if he plays 30 more games this season like he has he's going to get number 3 already. I don't think anyone can do enough to stop him if he averages a Triple. Then he'll have 10 more years in the best scenario to get another one.

How i see it and hope how it will turn out, is that his playstyle is not focus on his physique (except in post-up), if he stay healthy and without injuries he can maybe play for another decade and still put numbers that we can't imagine right now.

@Dragica Andrejevic I’m not really a fan of MPJ. He makes the max and he’s Cam Johnson with a severe head injury. The Nuggets will take the next step when Bruce Brown supplants MPJ as the starting 3. If they can trade MPJ for any NBA player with a pulse they should do it.

An it already takes a 30-40 minute video to watch his best passes. End of his career this might be a solid 2 plus hour video of insane 10 second clips. So under-rated. This dude is slower and big and not as flashy with dunks and stuff. But his passing shooting and the way he can see the game is unmatched. In today's game.

Make a link about MPJ, the elite marksman. MPJ is a player with a max contract and his contract per season is similar to the contract of Luka Dončić and D. Booker. He has been with the Denver Nuggets for 4 years, we know little about his game and we don't know about his elite defense, and we don't even see his assists.... 4 years, his game and we don't know about his elite defense and we don't even see his assists.
