Yet another great video! So I read Atomic Habits (technically Heard the Audio book) & started implementing this! Jan 1st 2022 i weighed around 90kgs! The sole goal of 2022 was to become healthy & build a habit of working out at least 5 days a week & eating healthy & sleeping early (and atleast 7 hrs a day!) So i planned my day accordingly & had these sticky notes right in front of me to remind me of my goals .. and day in and day out i repeated the same things over n over again. In the course i was demotivated multiple times but there comes the magic of discipline. I just did it for the sake of it until its a habit now & i enjoy it than ever! Same the started with my DSA prep goal last Dec 2022! Its been a month now(Jan 2023) & i have been solving on avg 3-5 problems on weekdays (given my erratic work hours) & 10 problems on weekends! I know I am not there yet but am sure with these baby steps, I will be there soon! Result : 1. I am 65 kilos right now & all my blood works came perfect by gods grace! 2. I cook my own food & do mindful eating 3. Much more aware of my mind and health 4. I sleep by 11 (most f the days) & sleep 7 hrs! 5. I meditate at least 10 mins ( working on improving that too) 6. Already solved over 100+ problems in leetcode (mostly easy ones ) 5. Learnt to say a blunt "NO" to people!
hey looking for get into cybersecurity. I'm college dropout . Does recruiters hire dropouts? What is path for cybersecurity Engineer.? Certification or a degree
I’ve been in the software industry for 30 years - but taught myself to code way back in the late 70s, starting first with machine/assembly language. I have to be honest, I couldn’t imagine learning to code just to get into the industry and earn money. I learned to code because I was absolutely passionate and fascinated by computers…..I coded because I loved doing it, and spent nearly every spare moment coding. The fact that I finally ended up working as a developer and earning good money was incidental….I ended up getting well paid for something I was already doing. Almost all the best developers I’ve worked with have this trait, the love of programming comes first, and then the money is the reward.
I love coding but it doesn’t love me back 😅I said I’d learn to write and get published in big publications - done: I said I’ll learn graphic and ux design and excel at it - done. I said i will learn coding - I keep failing. 😢
@rufdymond thats why I guess. When you live in a country of 150 crore population resources are limited you fight for them. Hence not lucky enough to study for pleasure. Atleast for most of middle class which is most of our population it turns 🙂.
@5015_Anurag Sharma - No I’m from the U.K. - I started working as a mechanical engineer and later transitioned into software in my late 20s - I’ve pretty much retired now.
I completely agree with this 100%! A lot of us self taught developers or anyone trying to break into tech may have some doubt that we aren’t smart enough ect, but it really comes down to creating a habit or behavior. 95% of our lives is controlled by our subconscious because it’s a habitual mind and a behavior mind. If you can control your subconscious, you can control your life. Good luck to everyone on this journey!
1. Sometimes it's hard to learn something new, like how to code. 2. But if you do little things every day to help you learn, it can make a big difference. 3. It's like when a plane changes direction just a little bit, it can end up in a different place. 4. You can make good habits by having something that reminds you to start, like using your laptop to start learning to code. 5. It's important to keep doing those little things every day, even if you don't see a big change right away. 6. If you build good habits, you can be really good at coding and get a good job!
#30dayschallenge I'm preparing for software engineering interviews and i believe this challenge will help me improve my coding skills and work on important algorithms. Thanks Sahil for such a motivational video.
Sir, you are the most serious and the most proficient trainer on youtube and that's because you don't learn us how to code but how to become programmers. Thank you so much!
#30days challenge Here we go.. I'm preparing to crack Software Engineer interviews and working to get efficiency in DSA and python programming language. I believe this cometment will be also recognised by my sub-concious mind to trigger my motivation and keep me on the track of this challenge.🤞🏻
Thanks Sahil for the video. I really enjoy your content, especially because you are not a computer science graduate, so you really understand the difficulties of being a programmer who is not a computer science graduate and is only self-taught. Please make content like material that must be mastered by self-taught programmers or a roadmap for non-computer science graduates. Like studying RDBMS, Operating System, or others. Apart from that, how do you learn databases? do you also study the theories or just learn while working on projects?
Hey Sahil, I just wanted to drop a comment and thank you for everything. I followed your instructions and landed my first software development job, transitioning from mechanical engineering. I could resonate a lot with your journey and you have no idea how much I appreciate you for making these video. I wish you all the good luck and success in the world. Thanks!
#30dayschallenge Started learning C++ to get into competitive programming (I am a software developer btw, work with Python and JS on a daily basis but the programming community said C++ is best for CP, and then I came across this video so why not?)
#30dayschallange I'm a second year university student in cs. We have learned python basics and ADTs so far. Now I am expected to learn Java and C for 2 different courses and I have found it pretty challenging. Even the idea of pointers take me a bit to understand. Let's see if I can finish my C Linked concepts and Java OOP materials in 30 days.
keep at it. it will all begin to fall in place. one way to improve is to build projects. that way you have coded something that is practical and you can see the result. also in the real world. programmers build stuff. good luck to everyone in this journey
Sahil bro, currently i am 15 years old and studying in class 11. i am intrested in coding so i learning C language. And i accept your #30 day challenge. (CHALLENGE ACCEPTED)
You are awesome 😊 Thanks for the tips. I am a student learning software engineer at Holberton School. Still finding it hard to focus. I am ready to strive up a good habit. Thanks 👍
#30Days challenge. I have started learning python to get into Dynamic programming. I hope this challenge helps me in getting good in my coding skills. Thanks for sharing the beautiful insights.
My "problem" is that if I try to implement a project, I most likely can put all the little pieces (mostly pieces from Google) together and get the result I wanted. But I could never build those projects I have already successfully achieved without Google. I find it hard to actually "learn" coding when I don't have a plan on how to, so I don't know if I'm a bad programmer or not.
Thank you Sahil for another - I'll say action oriented video with examples. I'm taking the #30dayschallange for reading as of now although becoming expertise in programming is next in the list.
Just bought the Atomic Habits Book from a Book Exhibition nearby. Great that you linked it with coding which will be super helpful as well. Thanks Sahil 👍
#30dayschallenge I'm preparing for software engineering interviews and i believe this challenge will help me improve my coding skills and work on important algorithms. Thanks for such a motivational video
#30dayschallenge Thanks for the motivational video. I'm learning JS and want to enhance my knowledge of developing the backend by learning Node and Express. Let's see how far I reach in the next 30 days.
#30daychallange I am a student who is lacking of time due to academics, I want to improve my programming skills by allocating some time to it. hope the consistency will be maintained ✊
My belief is 98% of people need external motivation to move forward. I tried learning to code by myself for years, then I joined a formal course I'm 2 months in to doing 3 hours a day.
3rd video ive see from this awesome guy & i love it! Keep up the good work bro. You really are motivating others including myself! May god bless you brother
#30DaysChallenge I've been procrastinating on my fitness goals and learning app development, I have laid down a roadmap and a routine of sorts to follow, let's see how it goes! Thank you for this insightful video Sahil, as always, it was very helpful.
Hey Power Couple, I know Python but want to learn Java for my career, can I apply for Java and Big Tech opportunities but solve interview questions in Python ? I've also read that it can be easier/faster to solve questions in Python, even for Java programmers.
There's a VS code extension I use often called 'The Software'. It allows me to keep track of the time spent on active coding. Also I keep track of the Github markers on my profile but it doesn't track time. Great lessons for someone like me who picks up the phone after making every push. I have also started using the Windows built-in feature called 'Focus' that helps me work in bundles of 30 minutes with 5 minute breaks much like the Pomodoro Technique. It's best to keep the phone away from sight to avoid distractions.
#30daychallenge ive recently gotten around my laziness and have been dedicating some time to coding, this is just an extra but very needed push i needed. thank you see you in February :D
#30dayschallenge Already have started implementing your tips on learning python. I am much thankful for that vedio guiding on the tips to learn python. I am feeling the change within me as I am learning 2 exercises/topics each day. I will update my result after 30 day challenge completion. Love your content and the clarity it gives. I was waiting for this vedio of yours as I had already taken "ATOMIC HABBIT" book as a GIFT to MYSELF. Thanks and keep sharing and linking more concepts into programming from "ATOMIC HABBITS." It will surely help us all!
Hey! I just wanted to say how humble you are all while being super motivational. Also had a question…you mentioned you use VScode, I use ATOM. Is there really any difference in coding editors? Do you recommend I stop using ATOM and hop on VScode?
#30dayschallenge I am going to start learning C++ and I make myself sure to complete this task and return back to you with a very good news. Thanks buddy!
First of all I am following your work from the start. Great content (Just Smile a little bit). I am a Computer Student and will complete my bachelors this March and i am planning to abroad to study further so can you make a guided step by step series or something like a video for everyone on how you landed into an abroad university to purse a degree in CS? Below are some questions which if you can cover then it would be really helpful. 1) How Indians after their bachelors can go abroad to study or for work? 2) Which courses of Computer Science are gonna boom in near future and should be considered to be pursed in abroad universities? 3) How to select a country if that's important? 4) What is the eligibility requirment for an indian to apply outside? 5) What exams should be given and what is the usual average good score being accepted by good university? 6) How to identify a good university because there are a lot? 7) What can be the average expenses one can expect to be spent in an abroad education? 8) To sum up how was your eduction like in abroad?
#30dayschallenge I've been procrastinating learning React JS for the past 3 months. Today's Jan 20. Before Feb 20, I'll complete learning React for sure. Adding to that, I've solved around 200 problems as of now in Leetcode. I'll be consistent and will cross 100 more problems in this 30 days. I'll make sure, that I understand the algorithm completely and take notes for every single problem I solve. I'll participate in all the contests each week in Leetcode and focus on improving the problem solving capability. Will reply to this comment here after 30 days after completing the challenge.
#30dayschallenge Im looking forward to learn java and DSA from basic to advanced. I want to be at one of the top tech companies like you . You are my insipiration.
Recently i joined a company as a Trainee software Engineer and my goal is to become Web Developer so from now i will start working on it and i will achieve what i want to become. #30 Valuable Days of My life Thanks for making the video ❤️❤️
#30dayschallenge I’ll be learning JavaScript in this period and will be back with my results. Hope I’ll do good and stick to this plan cause I’ve been very lazy lately 😢
Really I like coding so much so i never felt boring about it Python is such a great language Learning Python as an beginner is my best choice i ever made
Thank you for the video bro. That building atomic habit really seems good. I like programming and learning, really fascinates but it's just that I DON'T SIT TO STUDY because I'm usually distracted by my phone, games etc. Once i sit i go study well. It's true i need to get more cues to get me to sit that's the thing.
#30DaysChallenge. Bro very Impressive 😊. last three days i didn't preparing my Exam (actually I planned to give up) so after posting this comment i'm gonna preparing my exam as well as my learning coding too. Thanks Lot 🙏.
#30daychallenge I want to become a full stack java developer for that I need to start core java part. All the resources are around me but some how I wasted lot of time not starting the actual learning. Thank you for the motivational video. I realised how a small steps will help me achieve great goals of my life. From now onwards I will be completely in a focused mode to achieve my daily targets 🎯. And will make sure to solve atleast 2 problems in a day with the knowledge I have. Doesn't want to see the solution while solving the problem. I will come back after 30 days that is for me on feb 21st and comment what I had done.
This is the video I needed today. Was supposed to get through a couple hours of my coding class today and I’m instead in for some Uber eats and watched Netflix. I’m going to try and finish a chapter of my class tonight now.
i started learning 5 dsa questions on 1st jan, happy that i am still stick with it, also learning to create app to connect time on laptop with mobile as you mentioned.
Just to say that from today onwards I am starting #30daychallenge of learning C and building projects and doing studies for my end sem and going to gym to have abs and muscles Last habit is to upgrade my editing skills and starting freelancing for the same This are my targets let's see I will return in next 30 days
I recently purchased this book however was unclear as to how to use it for beginning my journey of programming/coding hence now you made it clear...... Highly Appreciated Team Power Couple
#30dayschallenge is on, I am currently learning backend programming using JavaScript and besides it I am learning advance JavaScript too. I don't know if I will be able to complete task or not but I am going to give it my 1000% no matter what🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi sahil!! I have started learning JAVA Programming Instead ofPython to develop deepeer understanding of the object Oriented programming. Started Learning from SedjwicK book and currently loving solving problem in Leetcode as of now stats is more to come soon.
Tnx brother 😁 Your dope as usual with ur content nd the way explain Plz plz sir 🙏 continue ur Channel nd the quality content to make sure we get such things as frequent as possible.
#30dayschallenge I am starting to relearn python and data science libraries for my AI based thesis. I have an Electrical engineering background and this has led me to gear up.
@Power Couple It has been more than 1 year that I have started learning to code and also tried to apply for a Developer Job but couldn't get any with no experience. So that, Please help me to get a developer job with no job experience. I will appreciate your help. Thank you.
Sahil sir, I have been learning ReactJs for many months to apply for a web dev job. I do enjoy React and webdev but to be honest my ultimate wish is to learn C++ well, and also unreal engine to get a job in a AAA game studio. Do you think it's a bad idea to start the career in web dev, and later try to shift towards game dev? I feel there are not that many good freshers opportunity in game dev field, and now a days web dev jobs are alot so I am learning React for now.
#30DayChallenge #ChallengeAccepted I'm preparing for software engineering interviews and I believe this challenge will help me improve my coding skills and work on important algorithms....
#30dayschallenge Lost motivation a while ago. Here's to building habits that, with the proper care, will last a life time along with a skill that will help support that future.
Brother, i'm a second year university student, my major is education. Is it possible for me to be a software engineer at google? I was not a science backgrounded student, i studied business studies in my higher secondary . Just let me know, is it possible or not? I'll do everything needed.🙂
Thank you Sahil , is there any other way to connect with you than linked in , cause (i've lot of questions to ask and u seem more of a mentor to me ) and i am really into frustration after 6 month of desperate learning things to become a full stack developer, and i also feel i only have scratched the surface and there's more to go🙏, plz reply
Thanks for motivational video . #30dayschallenge I am trying to improve my ML skills and will practice on Kaggle and implement whatever I will learn for 30 days. Will be back after 30 days for the update
Sahil, here is dopamine spike for your nervous system. I love your content and they totally resonate with me. I have my own dopamine spikes when I see your videos. One bad thing , I see your videos during the coding session. I dont know if its good or bad but I am watching a coding video on a coding session, right !?😅😅😅
#30DayChallenge I just started to learn programming and i also want to get back to the gym consistenly, hope i can do this every week without quitting like the usual
#30DayChallenge I am going to start solving 2 DSA problems per day. I will simultaneously work on building the program that you suggested and finish it by 21st Feb. 21st Jan - 21st Feb And I hope I would have built a habit of solving problems by the end of this challenge!
#30daychallenge been holding off on making a portfolio website, but today I made some progress and made a project section. Tomorow I'm hoping to make some more progress.
Feeling amazing after this video.. I wanted to ask looking at further recession, whether its the right time to learn coding fulltime leaving current job for serious learning ? Thanks Sahil !
I really like your videos. Sir, I want to ask a question? I am BS Bio-Informatics student and I am in 4th semester now and I am not interest in my degree. I am also learning java apart from university. So, it will be good to leave university and stick to programming. It is very hard for me to keep up both university and programming at once. Can you help me by your suggestion? Will I be able to get job with java without any degree?
Hey! I am a student too, and I had spent a lot of my time exploring the market. Man, your degree matters, You cannot leave it, you never know what opportunity you will get in life, if you want to work with more significant companies, please try to complete your graduation at least. Without graduation, people will consider you a fool. Divide your time, spend 2 hours a day in your college study and rest in coding. You have enrolled and got too far in 4th semester. My suggestion to you would be that please don't give up and if you like my idea of giving time of 2 hours to college study out of 24, you can easily do it. Your teachings in this degree won't help you in becoming a better programmer, but They will represent how smart you are
#30dayschallenge Started learning CPP for competite programming for next 30 days. I will be back at March 15 and posting my experience on taking this challenge
Its been a month. I can't complete this successfully. Only initial days and last few days, I was active. I can't be consistent due to hectic work schedule. But, no excuses. I don't want to give up. I'm taking this again. This time, I'm sure I will make good progress
Thanks for the video, can u please answer one of my questions? I've started my journey in game development in unity and now I'm learning c#, does learning data structures and algorithms will gain me any advantages in the field of game development? Thanks.
Hello Sahil bro, Thank you for all your videos. They are really helpful for us. Kindly upload a complete video on LinkedIn. And also, kindly let me know, is the Btech degree is really required to get a job as Software Engineer ? While having Programming knowledge
Sahil my humble request you to make a complete video on building projects and github usage, i lived in India i stated learning coding since last 2 months but in India company's are giving more weightage to degree rather than skill, so how we can get that job without degree, and I think projects is good way to go thanku🙏

How did you apply for the companies .can you give some tips
Thanks in advance:)
@Shanmukha Srinivas Quick tip: Don't try to master it, just learn enough to clear interviews.
That was really fast I m still learning DSA!
That’s great news Mujeer! Good luck with your job. 👍

The Code Time extension is available on VSCode (amongst others) and allows to track the time spent in the editor. Thanks for the video :)
@coder knight good question, I don't know how to do that
Hey , I have installed the code time extension , can you tell me how can I connect the code music extension to it ?

Thanks and keep sharing and linking more concepts into programming from "ATOMIC HABBITS." It will surely help us all!
So, all goin' good?
Hey Shravya! Learning python too!
Sure. Good luck, Shravya
Bro you just summarized the whole "ATOMIC HABITS" in 7 minutes only -> Great Content 🙂😉
🙏
Hey! I just wanted to say how humble you are all while being super motivational. Also had a question…you mentioned you use VScode, I use ATOM. Is there really any difference in coding editors? Do you recommend I stop using ATOM and hop on VScode?
Better to switch as Atom will be a depreciated editor soon.

I am going to start learning C++ and I make myself sure to complete this task and return back to you with a very good news. Thanks buddy!
Sahil your content is so educative, funny and wholesome at the same time. I wish I could have a friend like you❤
❤️
Thank you so much for this challenge. No more procrastination.
I'm in!

I've been procrastinating learning React JS for the past 3 months.
Good job

#30dayschallenge
I’ll be learning JavaScript in this period and will be back with my results. Hope I’ll do good and stick to this plan cause I’ve been very lazy lately 😢
👏
Really I like coding so much so i never felt boring about it
Python is such a great language
Learning Python as an beginner is my best choice i ever made
Thank you for the video bro. That building atomic habit really seems good. I like programming and learning, really fascinates but it's just that I DON'T SIT TO STUDY because I'm usually distracted by my phone, games etc. Once i sit i go study well. It's true i need to get more cues to get me to sit that's the thing.
@Power Couple thanks boss ♥️
Good luck 👍
Thank-you for linking Automic Habits with Learning Coding 😀
I’m glad you liked it 🙏
#30DaysChallenge.
Bro very Impressive 😊. last three days i didn't preparing my Exam (actually I planned to give up) so after posting this comment i'm gonna preparing my exam as well as my learning coding too. Thanks Lot 🙏.

I want to become a full stack java developer for that I need to start core java part.

I am starting to relearn python and data science libraries for my AI based thesis.
I have an Electrical engineering background and this has led me to gear up.
Hey sahil, I absolutely love your videos. Question, from the first day you wrote code, how long did it took you to get your first job. Thanks
@Power Couple It has been more than 1 year that I have started learning to code and also tried to apply for a Developer Job but couldn't get any with no experience. So that, Please help me to get a developer job with no job experience. I will appreciate your help. Thank you.
@Power Couple bruhh i took this amount of time to figure out what was going on
@Power Couple thank you for replying ❤️
Around 4-5 months.
Kaha s learn kr rhe ho js??
I challenge myself on #30dayschallenge and i hope it helps me in my coding journey! Thank you sahil sir!
👍

Lost motivation a while ago.
Hello would you ever consider telling your story as to why you decided to switch to tech after a Masters in mechanical engineering
Hey! I have already covered it in a previous video.

I am currently learning Spring framework. Hope to complete a project on Udemy in 30 days and be comfortable working with Spring.

🙌
Sahil, here is dopamine spike for your nervous system. I love your content and they totally resonate with me. I have my own dopamine spikes when I see your videos. One bad thing , I see your videos during the coding session. I dont know if its good or bad but I am watching a coding video on a coding session, right !?😅😅😅
Thanks! If you have to choose, Coding exercise/tutorial is always more important than my videos.
These kind of videos are really fun while watching and change me for 2 days and then I again go back to my bad habits! I need a therapy for sure.
#30DayChallenge

Feeling amazing after this video.. I wanted to ask looking at further recession, whether its the right time to learn coding fulltime leaving current job for serious learning ?
Thanks Sahil !
I would not recommend leaving your job in current market (or any market tbh).

#30daychallenge
Trying to finish cs50x. Use the 2 minute rule to code for at least 2 mins every day.
Your teachings in this degree won't help you in becoming a better programmer, but They will represent how smart you are
#30dayschallenge
Started learning CPP for competite programming for next 30 days.
#30dayschallenge
Got the book and am going to start reading it everyday while learning to code. Will come here and post my results 😊
@Power Couple Thank you so much
Good luck Swarna 👍
Thanks for the video, can u please answer one of my questions? I've started my journey in game development in unity and now I'm learning c#, does learning data structures and algorithms will gain me any advantages in the field of game development? Thanks.
Plz google search before anything you do

Hello Sahil bro, Thank you for all your videos. They are really helpful for us. Kindly upload a complete video on LinkedIn. And also, kindly let me know, is the Btech degree is really required to get a job as Software Engineer ? While having Programming knowledge
Will upload soon. Skills are the most important thing.
Hi Sahil bro,How to get a job as a fresher?? Learning html, css, javascript or DSA??
Sahil my humble request you to make a complete video on building projects and github usage, i lived in India i stated learning coding since last 2 months but in India company's are giving more weightage to degree rather than skill, so how we can get that job without degree, and I think projects is good way to go thanku🙏
I’ll cover it in an upcoming video. Thanks for suggesting 🙏
Thank you, Sahil! So much great information!
#30dayschallenge
