I believe that when you are motivated and are working for your family and yourself to create something real you find reserves of energy and ambition that you never know you had. There's a point where it is no longer work.
It’s very satisfying when you are doing it. Even a small improvement makes you feel elated. Also your strength keeps growing and growing. It’s very therapeutic to renovate a run down place. Great Job.
The sheer amount of work involved is inspiring. So many nights just crawling into bed dusty and exhausted only to get up and do it all again. I'm sure there were arguments and days where you questioned it all, but it's worth it, so so worth it. The results are beautiful. The production quality is amazing. The combination of light, color and sound is transporting. I can see, smell and taste it all, quality storytelling. Keep doing what your doing. Thanks for sharing and bringing us all along for journey.
@Free Life11 dude you do realize that social media stuff is almost always not the same as real life right? Also, here is a crazy thought - you aint never gona be 37 again in your life 😅 crazy I know
Your family is living the dreams of many people. for some of us it will only be a dream because of different circumstances. But hats off to you, for your hard work and your videos are very well put together. All the best for your future
Ikr! I also dream to someday find a home that is somewhat run down, but manageable so I can restore it and make it to my taste. Sadly that costs loads of money
In all honesty the sheer amount of work you put in reviving the land is indeed appreciable. Y'all are living my dream. The cinematography and editing is top notch.
“We grew in our ability to transform the neglected…” such a powerful line. You have definitely made such a transformation! I loved watching you plant and harvest. Not only in your farm, but in your life. All your hard work has given a fruitful harvest. God bless you and your beautiful family💕. -Dyana
Wow! I loved every minute of this, I was lost with you and slowly it all started to come together, well done both of you. Such hard work and the vision you have , I take my hat off to you x
@Living in the Loire Haha! So true, my parents brought me home from the hospital to our old farmhouse and there are STILL jobs to be done! New jobs that haven't even been started yet!
What an amazing job your family is doing! Your two boys are getting such good training and they are so adorable! Thank you for sharing what you are learning!
I am utterly moved by your way of living that YOU have created for yourselves. Watching the process, i could only imagine how challenging this must have been. But in the end you pulled through - beautiful to watch. Greetings from Vienna, Austria
I don’t know if it’s the music, the fact that I’m waiting to homestead, the fact that I’m pregnant, or just that the video makes me emotional but I wanted to cry the whole time 😅 Such a huge and rewarding undertaking for your family. It’s beautiful to watch you build a legacy on such a beautiful, historic property.
this was so beautifully filmed/edited, and it’s so inspiring 😭 to do all of this in a foreign country, during a pandemic with children!! it’s insane but clearly so worthwhile. congratulations, i wish you all the happiness, health and success!!! 💕💕💕
I would so love to do that If I could afford it. Such a feeling being part of nature, tending to a garden. Just enjoying life :) Thank you for the video
Absolutely amazing what you both have achieved, and while raising a young family, beautifully put together video, hope you’re well and can’t wait to follow you on your further journey x
This is one of the coolest videos I have seen on this platform! Your story is so cool and you have a knack for telling it! I am thankful you commented on my video so I can find your channel. Good luck in 2023 I will be following along :)
How wonderful you both are. Not only to tackle such a (seemingly) endless and uphill task, but to do it with two babes in the midst of a pandemic and in a new country. I am filled with admiration at your story thus far and hope that your future plans bring you equal amounts of achievement and joy. Brava! Bravo!
Damn, this is so impressive. What a huge sense of accomplishment doing all that work for your beautiful homes. I have no idea where you found all the energy. I bet you slept well.
I’m amazed at what you’ve accomplished so far. So many unexpected problems with the houses but you did a boatload of renovation. The gardens are wonderful. I subscribed and look forward to watching more of your progress. 🌷
Oh my goodness...your baby boys is so adorable!! What a wonderful life you are working so hard to make for your family. It is already looking so beautiful and I will enjoy watching you do so much more.
Thank you for such a lovely vlog on your journey to France. You have done so much and have worked so hard. I have been watching your channel since the very beginning and am so impressed with all you have done. You have both learned so many amazing skills and have been such wonderful roll models for your two beautiful boys. Thank you for this 2 year celebration of your journey!!💝
New Subscriber. I love your story and your journey. What you have done to the property in a few short years is amazing. I’m looking forward to more adventures.
OK. I've watched a gazillion of these 'new life overseas' videos, and this was honestly the first one ever that I didn't want to end. I remember when my son was little - it makes my head spin to think of what you've accomplished while raising one child and growing and birthing a second. Brava! Bravo!
This is just amazing! The amount of projects and bumps you guys faced is really inspiring. When I saw the start off the video in my head it was unworkable i would’ve completely gave up but kudos to you guys for flipping it around 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 also the editing and the shots in this video were really amazing ! Overall well done 🙌🏽
Absolutely amazing! We moved to the country to raise our children "free range" too. We're in south Texas. Watching thisade me tired! I bet y'all slept hard every night after all that work. Absolutely amazing job!🥰❤️
WOW! Hats off to you two! It took a lot of courage and hard work to achieve what you have accomplished in such a short while! I hope you have a long and beautiful life in France. I'm sure you'll be able to speak French in no time and that you have wonderful, helpful neighbors.
It's rather amazing how much you've accomplished in that short of time! I'll be looking forward to seeing your upcoming videos! Hopefully when you are able to root out all the didden and not so hidden troubles in your own living space, the unexpected obstacles and setbacks won't be so traumatic to you and your darling children! You both are quite gifted in narrating your videos. It was very interesting but your voices were relaxing as I sit here nursing a broken leg! Keep up the good work! Hope to see you again soon! Shorter videos more often would be ok if it would make it more possible! Thank you, and blessings from WallaWalla, Washington USA
HARD WORK! You guys took on a challenge for sure. The best part is that it all comes to an end one day, and you can look back at how beautiful your new home has become due to your hard work! Congratulations on your babies and new experience
I think what always hits me when watching people like yourselves do these amazing lifestyle transformations is the question "what do you do for work and how do you fit it in?" For me that is the most daunting aspect of undertaking something like this myself. What would I do for money when there is clearly so much to do and pay for across the journey?
An absolutely delightful video. Has been wonderful to watch. Yes it is damned hard work, been there done that, but you as a family will reap the benefit for years to come. Lovely too your parents are able to contribute and the children will always remember their presence. You made the right decision and your resilience throughout your lives together will always hold you in good stead. Thank you for taking time to give us such a wonderful insight. Bless you all and feel blessed. You took an enormous step of faith and the universe worked with you. Xxx
Congratulations on all your success, renovating is like eating an elephant you have to take one bite at a time. I find having a priority task list keeps me on track. Time management is individual and remembering why you have chosen this lifestyle is very important. Set targets that work for you guys and enjoy learning new skills.
A big congratulations to you both for all your hard works and determination. So much you have both achieved, whilst raising to adorable children. I wish you much more success in the next year of your projects. Loved watching you on your journey😘
The amount of work is overwhelming but the way you've all shared in this as a family, quite frankly, inspiring. If 2023 is a "Make or Break" year, make it the former. Good luck with the continued project. You're so near.
This was a cinematic masterpiece. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. It was exactly what I needed to see today :) Incredibly motivating content by two hardworking and humble people. Thank you!
Your video series inspired me to take on a renovation project not far from the Loires region. After visiting this area this year, I have realised Limoges, Orleans, La Rochelle are very nice places to visit. I have just made an offer for a run down house with a small parcel of land, lets see where this adventure will take our family too (we are a family with 2 small kids from the UK with office based jobs).
your family unit, mommy, daddy, children and grand-parents are so lovely. It's so nice to grow your own food especially great for children and to live in green spaces. You did an amazing job at restoring so far, can't wait to see the progress :)
You have made yourselves a fantastic home. The love you put into this project have given back 10 fold. Thank goodness for your tenacity. This is just wonderful to watch you and your young family with the health of your parents to transform this property.
This came up on my feed and I’m so happy it did. This is an incredible video and you are an awesome couple. I can’t believe what you accomplished. I’m so happy for you and your lovely children. Love from Florida.
WOW!! What a journey by two very talented and energetic individuals. I am hooked, and will follow from here on out! Video was nicely done! Eric, New Hampshire, USA
Your video really caught my attention with its editing. Things like trimming vines on the wall then cutting hair absolutely drew my attention to the fun you have together as a family. And I wanted to watch more. Thanks. I really enjoyed your 24 minutes covering 24 months.
My parents moved to France when we were all children 30 odd years ago. All this definitely brings back nostalgia for me as I've got soo many childhood memories of my parents doing similar things to what you're doing. I wish you luck for the next year and route that all goes as you wish it to.
Well done to you both, a great video diary and a fantastic achievement. We also moved to France with our cat in December 2020. We have a place on the River Lot in the 47. - Keep going. Stephen and Christopher
A visual portrait well edited and just the right amount of voice over. Not only the farm and buildings but you also seem reshaped and spruced up. Invigorated. Well done. Best wishes from us in Japan.
It's funny how you find a video presented to you because you watched an Australian build a home from shipping containers but there you go! Your video has been inspirational to me, I take my hat off to you both (four actually) for what you took on and how well you did. Here's me, painting the outside of my 1895 Victorian semi in Malvern thinking I'm doing well! Best wishes to you all.
Cheers! You might have to share the shipping container video, we considered that once. Very hard to do in the UK, not sure you can get mortgage or home insurance, something like that. Cheer haydne
Beautiful job guys !! Those gardens though!!!! Very impressive gardeners !! You all are doing such a great job!!! Your helpers are sooo busy learning & living !! Keep it up !!!
This was the first video of yours that I watched. I was hooked. I went back to the beginning and was glad I watched every single Vlog. Now I’m back to this episode and reviewing everything that has happened over the months. You have accomplished so much. I can’t wait to see what happens in the future. What a lovely family you are. I wish I were your neighbor. Wishing you the best in your future in France.
Yes, you pulled off the y’all. Your subscription numbers are climbing steadily so keep vlogging, when you have time. I’m in for the “long haul” but don’t want you to overdo it just to entertain us. I’m looking forward to you setting up your studio. I have done both fiber work and pottery in the past and hope that you will get to a point in the renovations where you can relax a bit and be creative in those areas again. ❤
Thanks for watching the back catalog Lana and your comments. We will continue to make films until y'all are sick of us (did we pull of the y'all?) Thank you again, have a lovely weekend.
Wow I got goose bumps because that’s how I grew up with my grandpa and grandmas house was 20 trees of fruits and a big garden of all the vegetables it was so much fun clomping the trees and enjoying all those fruits and that’s what I call it a true healthy life and you guys made the best decision for your kids and it all worth it
Thank you for sharing such a slow and inspiring video, :) It is so calming and soothing to watch it. As someone who has been struggling with a lot of stress and overthinking due to some changes in my life, it's so peaceful to watch you and feel at peace. This is truly what I needed. Thank you so much and wishing you the best :)
I am so glad the algorithm has suggested this video to me. I have watched your other 3 latest videos and you are both such an inspiration. The hard work you have done together and the support you give each other is tremendous. Your children are blessed to have you both and the beautiful life you are building. Happily newly subscribed.
I loved this! We're just 2 months in working on our old farmhouse. (Only 160 years old.) I'm looking forward to having 2 YEARS of progress under our belts. Thank you for the inspiration!
This is the most wonderful adventure you have undertaken. It was an absolute pleasure to watch it. Your home is beautiful and is turning into the stuff of dreams. Well done

@YouNeedToKnow agreed 👍👍👍
I am thoroughly exhausted and this only was 25 minutes long. I don’t know where you guys found your strength. But I am so impressed. Keep going.
I am so glad there have a food garden as well as a flower garden. Food sustainability is a big issue.
I believe that when you are motivated and are working for your family and yourself to create something real you find reserves of energy and ambition that you never know you had. There's a point where it is no longer work.

@SCARRIOR I wonder what you were doing here, like everyone who watches television or some media.
@SCARRIOR not wasted if you learn something. You apparently DID waste 25 minutes, because you can't find anything positive to say!
I am a 37 year old contractor and watching this moved me to tears. You have a beautiful family and are creating a beautiful space to enjoy it.

Haven’t enjoyed a video so much in ages! What a lovely life you’re all creating 💜
A visual portrait well edited and just the right amount of voice over. Not only the farm and buildings but you also seem reshaped and spruced up. Invigorated. Well done. Best wishes from us in Japan.
Thank you Kieran
Such an ambitious pair. This is how marriage is supposed to be…working together towards a shared goal. Kudos to you both.
So impressive to see both your creativity and hard work. The children are beautiful. Inspiring. From Brisbane, Australia.
You’ve done an incredible job. It’s fabulous. Hope you’re enjoying your home!
This is such an amazing adventure, congratulations on taking the leap of faith and making it happen. I love this :) subscribed.
Thank you Ronda
The more work you put into your home, the more you love and appreciate it. May there always be peace and love in your nest! You are great fellows!
What a beautiful story! It looks like an awesome environment for a cozy childhood!
Thank you
Nice video. Nice family. I love how simply you live and how skillful the whole family is.. Your children will remember this for life!
Well done
