One of the best “performances” I have seen from both Ben and Jordon. So much comes together in this talk/event, the essence of Jordan and Ben’s work really came out in this one, with the people present and in the location of the talk. שלום על כולכם

Wow! Such an incredible event and I am so thankful you posted this! I felt as though I was there in Jerusalem! Yes, let us make peace in our homes and then we can make peace in the world... Gratitude is the beginning of reconciliation. So good!

More and more, whenever I hear JBP speak. I wish that he and Thomas Sowell would have an extended, long form conversation on everything that comes up…before the possibility is lost forever. Four hours would still be too brief for the meeting of such deep thinking, reasoned minds. This has been an outstanding upload here. 👏🙏✌️

@Innocent David Uloko Sowell is a scientist.
      Peterson is an entertainer.

@James Lowe there will be so much value synthesized from the two meeting , while Sowell will tell us from an economic point of view and how that lie of racism has persisted for so long , Jordan will dig in deeply into the medical , psychological and social pollution that the academia has poured into the souls of the coming generations .. They are both scientists and social construction workers if u like ! 👍

@James Love-Vani I’d like a long form conversation between the two, not some kind of contentious debate.

Sowell would mop the floor with JBP.
Sowell has gone literally DECADES without any contradiction in any of his work.
JBP can sometimes make it as much as 30 minutes.
I'm a fan of both, for what its worth.

Thank you for uploading this meeting of the minds - I learned so much. Gratitude is a quality we must hold, and in today's world it is easy to do. Just look around you and you are bound to see others who are less fortunate than you - however minimal, be grateful for what you do have instead of dwelling in negativity for what you don't have.

I did not want this conversation to end!! i will have to hear it again. Thank you all for this oportunity, Dr. Peterson i am a permanent follower of your conversations, as well as Ben's. I think that it is very important for the Israeli society to have this kind of profound political, phylosophical, and psycological open space. I found the question of parennting and the question of The Canadian Woman on how not to let this vaccination non sence , happen again as the most important questions. Thank You All!!

God has blessed us all with some REAL heroes. I sure miss Dr. Zelenko who was too quickly removed from our realm.

As a fan and a follower for both speakers, I am waiting to see a new way of approaching a better outcome not just with your fans, but with your opponents. They both have the ability to bring together more people from the Jewish, Christian and Muslim sides by bypassing the politicized religious rhetoric of all sides and reach out to the thinking minds and family loving people to create a powerful peace leading to real international life.

As always, Dr. Peterson ruins my day...by forcing me to think. He continues to force us to face the uncomfortable truth that freedom - true freedom - means taking responsibility and facing that responsibility. It's very likely that this is why the possibility of freedom is so terrifying to so many, who try to stamp it out wherever it is found. What a challenge to overcome.

Wow .. good versus evil can't be more ominous today than it's ever been in the history of mankind. If we were to get things right, then we can't describe the results in a good way. If we get this wrong, then the hell we will produce, will be beyond comprehension. Mankind again I presume, is at the highest point of decision that can't be trifled with. Good luck, we've never been good at holding the most important things of life together.

"For when culture advances overfast, when material achievement outruns the evolution of worship-wisdom, then does civilization contain within itself the seeds of retrogression; and unless buttressed by the swift augmentation of experiential wisdom, such human societies will recede from high but premature levels of attainment, and the “dark ages” of the interregnum of wisdom will bear witness to the inexorable restoration of the imbalance between self-liberty and self-control." The best way to deal with idiotic ideas is to let them wither away, I don't think there's a reason to make a big fuss about them. Especially in an age where we don't know what real fuss is vs. fake fuss (way too easy to create fake fuss via the social media...)

They both speak very eloquently to the problems we face today - but they don't fully understand how the Name of the Most High is made manifest in the world.
Jordan, at the very least, should have this understanding by now - considering he appreciates the function of society and the essence of subjective perspective.

Jordan, in regards to how the cannon of Christian sacred books came together as the Bible, there's a universe of difference between "...the human imagination and divine Providence, take your choice." If there are Christians listening to this, that statement from JP and his moralistic summaries of the main ideas of Old Testament narratives indicates he isn't operating from the position of a converted man.

And then I listened to Ben talking about getting rid of the regulations and taxes: I suspect that if you do that, you'll face immigration pressure that would be difficult to manage. The reason everyone wants to come here is that - unbelievably - we are among the least taxed and regulated. That doesn't say good things about the rest of the world, and we are working mightily to destroy that advantage. But Ben is absolutely right. The U.S. became a world power it was the freest nation on Earth at one time, and as that changes you see our declining fortunes.

I see how prejudice these round table meetings are when Dr Peterson is called “ Jordon “ ( very disrespectful in Britain ti call one in a public situation by one’s first name ) and is told to “ stop the hand movements “ ( also calling attention to his body movements meaning this is the focus versus what Dr Peterson is saying …likely because Fr Peterson is a successful while male “ . Also his verbiage is pinpointed asked “ what do you mean is it not a real thing ?” because all these people have already “ abstracted “ “ racism “ in their minds . “British society” referring to these “ bleeding heart liberally minded people “is and seems the problem their quest

*_The saddest epitaph which can be carved in memory of a vanished liberty is that it was lost because its possessors failed to stretch forth a saving hand while yet there was time._*
    ~ George Sutherland

*_The true test of liberty is the right to test it, the right to question it, the right to speak to my neighbors, to grab them by the shoulders and look into their eyes and ask, 'Are we free?' I have thought that if we are free, the answer cannot hurt us. And if we are not free, must we not hear the answer?_*
    ~ Gerry Spence

*_The fact is that the average man's love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary, exactly like his love of sense, justice and truth._*
    ~ H.L. Mencken

*_[The average man] is not actually happy when free; he is uncomfortable, a bit alarmed, and intolerably lonely. Liberty is not a thing for the great masses of men. It is the exclusive possession of a small and disreputable minority, like knowledge, courage and honor. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty,... and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies._*
    ~ H.L. Mencken

*_I believe that liberty is the only genuinely valuable thing that men have invented, at least in the field of government, in a thousand years. I believe that it is better to be free than to be not free, even when the former is dangerous and the latter safe. I believe that the finest qualities of man can flourish only in free air ~ that progress made under the shadow of the policeman's club is false progress, and of no permanent value. I believe that any man who takes the liberty of another into his keeping is bound to become a tyrant, and that any man who yields up his liberty, in however slight the measure, is bound to become a slave._*
    ~ H.L. Mencken

*_One of the qualities of liberty is that, as long as it is being striven after, it goes on expanding. Therefore, the man who stands in the midst of the struggle and says, 'I have it,' merely shows by doing so that he has just lost it._*

*_Americans have the mistaken viewpoint that Lady Liberty is only a peacetime luxury who is ill-equipped to fight the nasties. Therefore, they reason, we need an equally nasty Big Brother. Americans have forgotten that Lady Liberty is one ferocious mother when protecting her children._*
    ~ Mary Ruwart

*_Liberty is one of the most precious gifts which heaven has bestowed on man; with it we cannot compare the treasures which the earth contains or the sea conceals; for liberty, as for honor, we can and ought to risk our lives; and, on for the other hand, captivity is the greatest evil that can befall man._*

      ~ Hannah Arendt

*_The police can't stop an intruder, mugger, or stalker from hurting you. They can pursue him only after he has hurt or killed you. Protecting yourself from harm is your responsibility, and you are far less likely to be hurt in a neighborhood of gun-owners than in one of disarmed citizens - even if you don't own a gun yourself._*
      ~ Harry Browne

*_The free market punishes irresponsibility. Government rewards it._*
      ~ Harry Browne

*_The increasing dependence on the State is anything but a healthy symptom; it means that the whole nation is in a fair way to becoming a herd of sheep, constantly relying on a shepard to drive them into good pastures. The shepherd's staff soon becomes a rod of iron, and the shepherds turn into wolves... Any man who still possesses the instinct of self preservation knows perfectly well that only a swindler would offer to relieve him of responsibility, for surely no one in his senses would dream of taking responsibility for the existence of another. The man who promises everything is sure to fulfil nothing, and everyone who promises too much is in danger of using evil means in order to carry out his promises, and is already on the road to perdition._*

It would be so much better if the words "left" and "right" weren't used to indicate two clusters of disparate positions as though the "right" is working only for truth, justice, and the American way and the "left" is working only for everything evil. One can be for capitalism but against wage slavery, for adequate public education funding but against LGBTQ indoctrination, for universal healthcare (such as every other major country on earth has) but against turning healthcare professionals into impoverished knaves. The entire discussion needs to shift away from useless terms that demonize huge groups of people before anyone can even explain or convey information. If the discussion stays on this path, what is to stop people from saying, "All Jews do evil things" or "All blacks are subhuman" or "All Moslems should be executed"? It's EXACTLY the same thought process as "The left says" and "The right says." If we could describe people of opposing positions as "people who ...", we'd live in a better world.

@Tay Zk Hi Tazy Zk! I agree with you COMPLETELY. We are so far out of balance that I don't know whether we'll ever be able to recover. In fact, I'm pretty sure we won't recover. We think simplistically because, frankly, we're not very bright collectively... and those who are bright (or are held up to us as bright) are often not honest or moral. And media manipulation and dumb-as-brick school teachers sure don't help. We actually need a spiritual reorientation and revolution, and we may have to go through hell to get it. You are right in pointing out that other countries are completely screwed up, but we in America can proudly say that we lead the way in pioneering new ways of fostering idiocy.
Well, it has been coming a long time, and now too much power is in too few hands.

@Tim Ward Yes, my problem with healthcare and education discussions is just that it's usually very surface level, ignoring all the important fundamental issues and just focusing on what I consider silly stuff like look at the european countries that have it! or the government shouldn't be able to decide for me!, schools need more funding or schools need less! America and most developed countries are completely screwed up in terms of both education and health, and we need a whole revolutionary change in peoples mindsets and values on a whole host of issues, we don't need to just "fix funding and be more like european countries" and not "return to the old american way, muh freedom and muh capitalism can do no wrong" either, when our countries and populations are sick to the core. Yes there are problems that can be described as capitalist/socialist problems in certain areas, but it's much deeper than that. I agree with your point about balance, we need a wholistic approach to get back in balance, if your body (society) is out of balance you need your whole body and the core moving to stabilize, no point focusing on one part here or one part there.

@Tay Zk Hello Tay. I can agree that compulsion is important to use correctly and I don't disagree that we sometimes need to generalize and speak of general truths while recognizing exceptions. But if the dialogue were based on "What is right (or more right)?" and "What is wrong (or more wrong)?" and what can we do to preserve the best and eliminate the worst, we would be better off. Because evil and greed can be found among the rich AND the shrinking middle class and poor, between Christians and every other group, and between the hard-working/smart and lazy/stupid, we do need some legal compulsion - but what kind?
Money is power, and government (when correctly constituted, which our government is not) can balance out the ill-effects of unbridled greed. So much depends on balance. Generally, the statistics regarding socialized medicine in European countries are much better than those of healthcare here. And that makes sense. In a country where 63% of people have less than $1,000 to deal with emergencies without borrowing, people are less likely to seek medical help when they have a $10,000 deductible or no insurance. And if you're having a heart attack, are you really going to make sure the hospital is and every doctor who treats you is in-network? Also, you never know what exactly is covered until they deny the claim. That's not a system working in the best interests of consumers. Capitalism only works when consumers have a true choice. Without choice, consumers are compeled by corporations to pay up or go bankrupt while those running the healthcare companies buy a second mansion or expensive toys. This is no way to run a moral economy.
Anyhoo, I'm for as much freedom as possible in some sort of reasonable system. I'm for a free market that is REALLY a free market, not one where money generates money and there is no relation between merit and pay.

One big problem with public education is all the compulsion embedded in it, compulsion to pay for it, compulsion to send your kids (some countries) etc and of course lgbtq and other forms of subversive elements creep in to such a compulsory and chaotic form of education. As well as the compulsion in universal healthcare is a problem and hasn't been a great solution in these other major countries. Not that compulsion is always wrong, but it's very important to use correctly.
Yes I agree one can be for the good parts of "capitalism" and reject evils like usury etc. However we need to be able to generalize and speak of general truths while also recognizing exceptions

If only Ben followed what he just said, this was a great talk but Ben Shapiro is still a rage bait broker, he has much less talks like this vs rage bait brokerism to enduce emotion and rage. So it’s conflicting if he can make more talks like this, why he would resort to exploit and farm by making low brow and stimulating content based on hate. He should follow his own talk, I still think he primarily spreads negativity and should shift towards more Olympian talks that unite whereas he generally divides to gain influence and make money. Still not a fan but a shame he’s capable of giving a talk like this but does the easier and sinful path of farming the algorithm
