I'm not a Harry Potter fan at all, I enjoyed the movies but that's it. The gameplay looks great, I'm at 19:07 and I'm seriously considering getting this game.
@Nicole S not every game is a live service game. It doesn’t need frequent updates. There will at most be paid DLC and even that may not be the case. Don’t get your hopes up.
I feel as though they will do a second release or an update to allow for other players/wizards to be apart of the world.. This is just the first phase of this amazing game.. Trust by December we will be hearing about online play
Been waiting for something like this since I was a little kid. Remember playing Chamber Of Secrets on PS2; flying around on the broom looking for jelly bean cards and thinking to myself "We need something better than this."
I can't even begin to describe how excited I am for this. I never imagined we'd get a game like this in the HP universe, but it looks beautiful and so well thought out. I hope the entire game lives up to this.

I read the Harry Potter series in my 20's. I bought them for my son and started reading them with him. He grew out of them and I was more excited then him when the new ones would come out. They are AWESOME, way better than the movies in my opinion. You get pulled into this magical world easily. Well written literature.
@Max Payne It's not universal. I tried to read it in my 20s and for me it was s*t. I was too old for the "school problems and drama" and found it annoying. The plot it severely lacking, the "main adults" are petty and filled with bigotry. The main character and his friends and their families are morons (the main character was severely abused and when the others found out were like... Not my family not my problem). Not to mention the plot holes that shows that the author never bothered to really review their work and didn't bother to think about details that are not linked to the main plot. So yeah, not universal books, but nice for children for whom it was meant, since the children never bother to pay attention to details. While the whole school drama is more akin their own mindset.
@Cortney Reed Oh definitely it was amazing as a kid, I really got into it at the perfect time. My sister who's 3 yrs younger than me was a bit young to read it properly so she watched the movies with me and she read it a year or two later and re-read the series like 3 or 4 times lol. Unfortunately Fantastic Beasts sucked for me(first was just ok, second I only watched parts of and was like nah), I didn't even bother watching the third one but I'm glad this game is here to get me back into it the world again.

This game seems pretty awesome. Glad they decided to include details from the book! One thing that threw me off was the silence. There didn't seem to be very much background noise. Schools are usually filled with all sorts of sounds. The silence made it seem like you were walking in a cathedral.
I went to a college in Washington state, it was honestly pretty quiet everywhere. But yeah it needs more banter from the students especially if they are grouped up facing each other. Other than that it looks amazing.
Absolutely incredible. Been a Harry Potter fan since the very first movie. This is a dream come true for all of us fans! The detail, the music, every little thing in the game is amazing. I can imagine so many of us spending hours and hours discovering this whole new world
What I'm mostly interested in is the Dementor's when they come out in the night or a specific area of the game. Also the rest of the goblins, fairies, monsters etc from the movie hopefully they bring it to the game as well and being able to swim as well and Quidditch to. And weather also such as weather effects like rain, haze, fog, snow, cloudy and such so. And who remembers Harry Potter Prisoner Of Azkaban for the gamecube i had it and it was fun.
I am pretty stoked to play this game. This is one movie i have wanted a game made out of. The character customization and the fact that it introduces new characters to fit into the game is great.

Loving the hints to the movie scores with the in game music. It’s tweaked just enough that they sound a little different but u can hear the motifs that of the movie counter parts👌🏻. Nice touch, even tho for me it irritates me that I hear some of it and can hear the rest from the movie in my head, but it still ends up being ever so slightly different lol.

My god it looks so beautiful. Imagine how many secrets are awaiting to be discovered inside this castle. But after so many videos and trailers still I don't know who the main antagonist is. In other words who is the bad guy? Is it a person? Is it some kind of dark group like death eaters?

a lot of great optimization techniques shown in this one (e.g. 13:00-13:02 or 16:47, characters are spawning in and their models zip around a bit) because they're being loaded just a little too late, 99% of the work is done and im sure this will be done perfectly at launch. good luck team avalanche looking forward to filing some bug reports in the beta 👍
As someone who's not a harry potter fan, I do appreciate how involved the devs are and care for the game and that's why I pre-ordered it. Can't wait to play it, fly around and become the next Merlin.
Currently love everything they release of the game, but I‘m still really scared that it may not life up to our expectations. I‘m also talking as an last gen player, so I atleast have to wait until April and I don‘t know how good it‘s ported. It definitely currently has goty potential, but I think I‘ll wait with preordering a little bit longer. I‘m also really hyped for Zelda totk - where I‘m not as scared of preordering, because they already did one of my favorite games. But I‘m loving this year for gaming so far, haven‘t been this excited for several years

The castle has me in awe! One of the main things I hoped they would nail is the castle as I've always wanted to explore it for myself. It looks so alive and beautifully designed. I'll have to explore the whole castle before I start the missions. Also, the floo flame that you unlocked in the library, is that a fast traveling point using floo powder? (Edit: If i continued watching I would see that it is fast traveling as it is all over the castle).

The NPCs around is great, but I would love to see more talking around and some of them talking to or greeting the MC or even the NPCs casting random spells from time to time

You do see students flying in the video. The NPCs don't seem too lively so hopefully that changes.

An open world game taking place in harry potter universe! Words cant express how hyped I am for this! I won’t even be able to do quests because I will busy exploring every single inch of the map
Looks great. An adventurous, beautiful game. Little details like larger doors opening with a different measure of weight and size would have put the mechanics over the top.
This is one of the greatest years for gaming we've had since 2018. God bless video games!!

a lot of great optimization techniques shown in this one (e.g. 13:00-13:02 or 16:47, characters are spawning in and their models zip around a bit) because they're being loaded just a little too late, 99% of the work is done and im sure this will be done perfectly at launch.

Currently love everything they release of the game, but I‘m still really scared that it may not life up to our expectations. I‘m also talking as an last gen player, so I atleast have to wait until April and I don‘t know how good it‘s ported. It definitely currently has goty potential, but I think I‘ll wait with preordering a little bit longer.
I‘m also really hyped for Zelda totk - where I‘m not as scared of preordering, because they already did one of my favorite games.
But I‘m loving this year for gaming so far, haven‘t been this excited for several years

I believe this game will actually be good. That comment about the "big empty open world" is exactly how I would describe Forspoken. All that space is pointless without life.

The castle has me in awe! One of the main things I hoped they would nail is the castle as I've always wanted to explore it for myself. It looks so alive and beautifully designed. I'll have to explore the whole castle before I start the missions.
Also, the floo flame that you unlocked in the library, is that a fast traveling point using floo powder?
(Edit: If i continued watching I would see that it is fast traveling as it is all over the castle).

They also made Alohomora more interactive. You get a magical lock picking mini-game and you have to be the right level to open certain locks.

The NPCs around is great, but I would love to see more talking around and some of them talking to or greeting the MC or even the NPCs casting random spells from time to time
