@Jill Valentin well no, he's not going to be a Man United stalwart at the age of 38. Still a bloody good player though. Age won't change his crossing ability.
Beckham, Owen, Seedorf, Kluivert, Ronaldinho, Cafu, Figo, Scholes, Seaman, Cole...these were the names that many of us now in our mid 40s grew up knowing and admiring in the 90s and 2000's. Legends.
Ronaldinho is silent genius. His character has pure humbleness. Beckham passes are insanely accurate even today. Man we want more these matches, probably a league
I'm so glad I grew up watching these legends the greatest era, pure passion loyalty hunger desire and magic, just watching them again bought back my childhood their will never be such a feeling again this was the time players cared about their club country and the fans!
it's not like players don't care about clubs, country and fans nowadays. It is rather that players 20 years ago had personality which very much affected them play style. Nowadays there is way more tryhard type of rat race, while back than players like Zizou or Figo showed the class of ball control, even dribbling without much racing, and the game was usually much more technical. So player like Beckam with great technical crosses in penaulty box was one of the biggest stars. Nowadays it's more about speed and strengh, back than it was more of a miind game, decision making, technique. Only Lewandowski can match them level of wisdom, but even him is lacking personality a tiny bit. Times change, people change, so players too.
@Manoj Kumar I'll pretend I didn't just read that. Given youve tried to create a hypotethical squad - out of all of footballs greatest, you've quoted Rashford and Sancho 🤦♂️👍... never have a table conversation about football please, stick to NFL or something that would probably be your thing.
Rashford and Beckham as their wide options... scary stuff. Where would Sancho play in that set up ? or would Rashford allow Sancho to play on the wing instead ?
@mikitesh as we established before, stats don't prove it all, especially since the whole team work for one players stats as it's his play style (and coach directives) while the other one didn't require the whole team to focus on him and was able to direct the play for others. If we compare Zidane stats and Messi some ppl who don't know much about football would say Messi is 2 lvls ahead, while Zizou is still in the debate for the best player of all time. The whole team "pays big price" for Messi lost balls, it doesn't mean they lose the match but they have to work hard for Messi to give him the ball back again and be ready for him to lose it potentially. I watched them both at aproximetely same time so it's not nostalgia. When I watched them play Ronaldinho wasn't even my favorite, he just made the difference. And that difference wasn't coming with any "price". People can believe Messi is the goat with his "good" stats, but I'm not blind for the bad ones and whatever it is beyond the stats, like for example some great pass that is not an assits but creates great opporutinty for the assist, nobody counts that in, and plenty more sometimes crucial factors that statistics do not take into account. Anyway, this debate can go forever and it's just my opinion.
@Av but perhaps dihno could have beaten messi I don't wanna bring stats into this, cause dihno would get dwarfed, so I'm using the "eye" test. You can tell how deadly he was. And how fun it was. Ultimately, messi and dihno have different positions in their primes, but even if messi is better, it doesn't take away anything from ronaldhino. Its the same comparison that happens with cr7 vs messi. They are polar opposites, and so high class we normalized 50+ goals per season for both these players. I personally think that dihno doesn't even touch messi, but perhaps his style enchanted you. When messi retires, you will see the difference. Nostalgia can often be very blinding
@mikitesh He was dangerous, drew a lot of defenders attention, true, but he was not a playmaker you want to depict and he wasn't the only one initiating attacks back than. Him being the leader in lost possesion doesn't mean he is terrible player who loses the ball the most times and that's it. I understand it has a lot to do with him being very active and I know he gives a lot for that price, but what you said before he doesn't concede the ball that often is just wrong, and that big price his entire team needed to pay puts Ronaldinho in front, at least a little bit in terms of g.o.a.t debate. At least.
@Av but its very hard to compare a LW to a CF and say possession lost matters. In that case, I will use messi 4th best prime, his 2019 version, where he was a pure RW. During those years he had minimal possession lost(i checked), had the highest goals AND assists in the year. He had the most chances created, the most successful dribbles completed, the most plays made, the most defense breaks and passes completed. He also had arguably one of the greatest carry jobs in history(next to Maradona in napoli), where he did the jobs of the ST, CF, RM, LM,LW, CAM,CM and his own RW. So yeah, if I use a wing version of messi, his 4th best prime, he absolutely beats ronaldihno prime. Its not even close when I see their stats. From goals to assists to chances created, really all ronaldihno did was dance on the pitch if what I'm seeing is correct. Jesus, how can you say prime ronaldihno is better when messi is bringing triple his numbers, kind of staggering, but not suprised since he is fighting the 🐐
To think one day we'll only see the players we love today play in games like this. Messi, Ronaldo etc. Very nostalgic watching the legends of football from my childhood. As a Man Utd fan it was great to see a lot of familiar faces on both sides, as well as appreciate the other greats like Ronaldinho, John Terry etc. Out of all those players in that game, I miss seeing Ronaldinho and Scholes play the most.
@Mike Honcho Because they won't do charity work unless it benefits them. They are already in their mid 30s and still absolutely self absorbed. Unless their PR Management tells them to do it for attention, I doubt we will ever see them in these kind of matches. They might be legendary football players, but their humanity isn't known to be legendary.
Beckham's freekicks and crosses, Ronny's dribbles, Scholes' long balls, Ji Sung Park holding midfield like a boss, Terry's defending, Owen's strike, Figo's skills, etc. Damn I miss these players 😭😭😭😭
David Beckham, that pass/cross made of gold has never faded. I have never seen any player able to do what he does. And Ronaldinho is one of the best. We all know that. Last but not least, Michael Owen and Dwight York. Salute to you two.
I’m very happy to see these legends play again and sad that not all football icons can make it to the pitch. I imagine an El Classico with 2006-07 teams 🥲
Who else watched the whole thing with a smile? Man , it's heartwarming hearing commentators calling out their names again. True legends of this beautiful game.
Seeing one of my favorite players like David Beckham play is the best as the years go by and it seems that he was still playing, his handling of the ball and those celestial centers that are a jewel for me, he knows where to put the ball is definitely exquisite watch him play.
Beckham may not have had the fine skills of Ronaldinho, but, no one passed the ball and set up play like Beckham, a true team player and footballing icon.
I hope all the current footballers can learn how real football is played from these legends. No constant back pass to the keeper, no slow side ways passes, accurate crosses to team mates, accurate assist without been selfish to score an impossible goal and lastly, brilliant and natural goal scorers.
The defense on both sides are putting almost 0 pressure since its a friendly. There's no need to back pass. But technically this generation definitely was more gifted than todays momentum players
Michael Owen, my high school time favorite player. How times flies. I still remember his characteristic when running - open palm of his hand, and positioning is still good
i used to believe it was nostalgia, but those players really had some personality that nowadays players don't. That's why it was so much nicer to watch them back than,
Ninguém chegava no Ronaldinho kkkk.

Seeing his age, Beckham's crosses are still of the charts
@Mimimi oh, lol
@Av yes it was me that mentioned that lol
@Mimimi age not necessarily, but not playing can for sure. As someone mentioned this match is from 2015, would be nice to see his crosses nowadays.
@Jill Valentin well no, he's not going to be a Man United stalwart at the age of 38. Still a bloody good player though. Age won't change his crossing ability.
Lol 🤣 people who think this is recent need to learn about soccer history 😂 seeing the referee should've bin a HINT

truth
im 23 and even the 90s generation remembers them very fondly as we were little kids in the 2000s and made us fall in love with football
David Beckham’s vision and pass accuracy is unmatched and rare. Excellent!!
Ronaldinho is silent genius. His character has pure humbleness.
Beckham passes are insanely accurate even today.
Man we want more these matches, probably a league
@Manoj Kumar This game took place years ago.
@fredy Chicano It says on the video premiered on Jan 2023. Thats recent is it not ?
Can you answer in more detail?
no u can't 😭😭😭,theyre all here because of charity not money
This ain't recent

Beckham is actually what Manchester United is missing right now

Seeing Beckham play always puts a smile on my face.
WHAT A GREATNESS TO SEE THOSE LEGENDS PLAYING TOGETHER ... TAKE US BACK TO THE LATE 90s AND OOs
No player can ever match the treats Ronaldinho has for football lovers. A true entertainer of the game. A living legend.

Not draws, proper wins.

Sir Beckham's unique foot, Dinho being dinho, the undervalued Scholes, the tireless Cafu, the clarity and dribbling of Figo. WHAT ALEGENDS!
Really missed Ronaldinho's smile and magic skills, the real GOAT for me
Beckham's freekicks and crosses, Ronny's dribbles, Scholes' long balls, Ji Sung Park holding midfield like a boss, Terry's defending, Owen's strike, Figo's skills, etc.

Seeing these legends back on the pitch is amazing... A great play.
@LaysMan В 2015 году.
@Jack Sharipo
@Lilu Dallas Multipass
David Beckham, that pass/cross made of gold has never faded. I have never seen any player able to do what he does.
And Ronaldinho is one of the best. We all know that.

Nostalgic no doubt, better times
bruv beckhams ability to slow things down and distribute where the ball needs to go, such a unique quality. he brings a calmness to his team
Those passes from Beckham are out of this world it's amazing they are like guided missiles absolutely perfect.
Beckhan nos deu uma lição hoje!! É preciso saber lançar a bola!! O cara não erra uma!!! E o Brasil não acerta uma!!
David Beckham is still as effective as before!!! Just like never retired! Amazing touches! What a player!
My god, Beckham's passes, marks and assists are just beautiful!
Ronaldinho, Beckham, Scholes, Figo... Os caras têm classe demais jogando.
Seedorf

the touch of a world-class player that is never forgotten, each has its own characteristics... thank you for my great childhood memories
Who else watched the whole thing with a smile? Man , it's heartwarming hearing commentators calling out their names again. True legends of this beautiful game.
Beckham's passing accuracy is amazing... what a legend
No one in England underrates Beckham, he was world class and was the main driving force for our national team. He was a very special player!
@Rodrigo Smocking vc q jogava neh kkkkk
So much history amongst the legends. Beckham hasent seemed to lost much.
Seeing one of my favorite players like David Beckham play is the best as the years go by and it seems that he was still playing, his handling of the ball and those celestial centers that are a jewel for me, he knows where to put the ball is definitely exquisite watch him play.
What a gift it has been to see Ronaldino in his prime AND in this match. He is absolute MAGIC!
What a joy to see so many living legends... my childhood heroes!!!
OMG its impossible not to get emotional, too many legends on the pitch
I think Ronaldinho will never loss his touch a true baller ❤
Beckham is unbelievable! Ronaldinho too!
Beckham has probably the most accurate passes in the football history
No mbappe
DeBruyne.
John Stockton.
Jan Molby could pass a ball
Yess indeed very accurate!!
That last kick by ronaldinho.... David seaman almost reliving a nightmare 😂😂😂
Caracaraaaa.. Que nostalgia! Parece que voltei ao início dos anos 2000. Quem aí teve a mesma sensação?
Udah pensiun tp cara mainnya Kelas bgt, enak Diliat, mending ini drpd liga 1 BRI😅
@The Scream Sí entiendo.
Forgot for a minute how blessed I am to have watched these players growing up. Beckham and Scholes on the same pitch. Man it was good.
Many goals assist from David Beckham..he still maintain his skill..very creative Midfielder
Beckham is still in good shape. His passing is amazing like as his prime time
Somehow im feeling happy to see these legends playing on the field again 😍
@Ludney Kennedy concordo!
Yes. Right! :)
Ronaldinho still an absolute joy to watch 😍 and Beckham still has the golden foot seems.
Beckham may not have had the fine skills of Ronaldinho, but, no one passed the ball and set up play like Beckham, a true team player and footballing icon.
Ronaldinho, Figo ❤❤❤
Michael Owen, Paul Scholes, David Beckam, Ronaldinho, Cafú, Crouch, de lo mejor!! Gran exhibicion, leyendas.

Fantastic to see so many legends of the game. Woulda loved to have seen Ronaldinho in the Premier League
I hope all the current footballers can learn how real football is played from these legends. This is for fun lol
Your comment proves your ball knowledge. You expect them to actually play seriously?
The defense on both sides are putting almost 0 pressure since its a friendly. There's no need to back pass.
But technically this generation definitely was more gifted than todays momentum players
@oogway gegenpress, wingplay, counter-attacking all suddenly don't exist anymore?
Now everything is decided through the VAR and it’s all about faking fouls and drama🤦🏻♂️
We can see that Beckham still capable play in europa now.
The passing still incredible
Michael Owen, my high school time favorite player. How times flies. I still remember his characteristic when running - open palm of his hand, and positioning is still good

@Mauricio Zarate 😂😂
@E-Ohh 😂😂😂😂
It's still the best Era in football history compared to today. These men were extraordinary in there days
David Beckham still got those dangerous crosses OMG😳😳😳🔥🔥🔥🔥
David Beckham unbelievable player
Seeing all these great players brings back so many memories
thank you for organising this
Como é bom ver Ronaldinho em campo!
This was in 2015
Beckham's crosses are still pure class
I'm happy that I saw all these legends when they was active - great footballers!
Man of the match : David Beckham ❤❤❤
Gracias futbol!
Ninguém chegava no Ronaldinho kkkk.
Better than many professional games we see out there.
Wonderful, they all had their signature moves still on. But man is Dinho something else.
The great players of their time will no longer be like those we just watched fondly. Legendary farewell😭😭😭
Good game... the mighty Dinho never disappoints. Well done Paul Scholes!…
Ronaldinho are always and will always be my favourite player. Love him so much 🥰
