@Clueless I’m just asking questions and stating facts lol I’m not arguing with you or trying to look any type of way. Just asking how you know the thing you claimed and giving insight on how real casters cast. All of the witty puns and one liners are pre-planned in some way unless the caster is just a god at comedy and quick thinking.
Was a great challenge! 2v2 rumble tends to be more "regular" mechanics/possession-based than 3v3 rumble. But 2v2 (and 1v1) rumble theory is incredibly deep; it inspires me to keep pushing to discover more about this amazing mode!
2v2 is so different than 3v3 but you guys still did well. With that being said, let’s put Sunless as the 3rd with the pros and let you guys get a 3rd top 10 rumble player.. I’m a sunless fan but they’d get clapped 🤣
no no no no no no you're wrong you're wrong you are wrong! what they have a disadvantage in (2v2) they makeup in advantages (knowing rumble very well). it's ultimately balanced and skill based
I had some stupid hilarious ones even at Diamond 1 today which is around where everyone begins to really read every hit. No Team Comms, we I think double gloved off their backboard then they somehow double plungered off our backboard into their own goal. My next match, still no Comms, had them boot me with spikes into an accidental upsidedown pass to teammate with spikes for a Buzzer goal on them.
@Sorsprii that's not the sick burn you think it is. he plays a mode that makes him happy. the fact that you think that's a dunk shows your own insecurities more than anything
With 33% less power ups available in the game than usual the result is not a huge shock, would love to see this in 3v3 (or with bubble players or something)
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Speedy's anticipation and aim on that save at 9:07. A little disappointed there wasn't more reaction for that precision. 😂
Definitely fun to watch, sad to see the Rumble pros spend a lot of time close to each other leaving them open, but as others have said here I imagine that is due to playing 3v3 normally.
Fun video, this format is always enjoyable! If you do more I would love to see either player comms to cut between, or include a shoutcaster like Feer to keep it interesting and add some back and forth banter
the pros just have such immaculate ball skills matched with the ability to quickly place shots from really tough angles. not to mention how much extra space they get in the 2v2. in this setting i actually dont think there's any chance the rumble mains could win. they really only have a chance in 3v3 where all the extra space is taken up. great video as always lol
I’m really glad you did this series. I’m normally a Champ 3 but in Rumble I’m GC3 but have never made it to SSL! But I can attest that the high level Rumble players still have great mechanics. But if you can understand the physics of the items even the “lower rated” items like tornado and magnet can become deadly. But in the end it’s all RNG baby!
I've always said that skill using powerups balances potential skill gaps in mechanics in Rumble matches. Glad to see you exploring more Rumble, I love this gamemode
@CbrF4i600 Playing against c3 will make your mechanics feel like they suck compared to diamond 2. My mechanics aren't great but with everyone playing so much slower I could probably show off a little in diamond, so you are probably underselling your mechanics. being able to play at a certain game speed is part of mechanics imo.
@CbrF4i600 Hard to compare but I never claimed it was just mechanics I was missing, my reactions and defense are probably shit too. Your mechanics are still probably better than my 0 mechanics. My point was just that lack of mechanics seems to matter less for rumble.
Yeah I was a diamond 2 in 2v2 but although I was solid positionally and with shot placement I could never be bothered to actually learn any mechanics so was stuck there, went over to rumble and was a champ 2/3 while being way less sweaty.
I feel like you should do another one where it's 3v3 and add one more of the top rumble players against 3 pros because 3v3 gameplay is a whole lot different than 2v2
I just Rewatched your previous rumble video yesterday !Odd Coincidence but none the less a welcome one. I wish we actually had a 2v2 rumble in ranked.I feel like more people might play it as many are 2v2 mains (myself included)
You should do best snow day players vs RLCS pros next if you haven't done already. I feel like the RLCS Pros would have to adapt much more than they did in rumble to win
Hell yeah, I've wanted to see some alternative RLCS matches where they do the more unique gamemodes. Like Pros playing Hockey/Hoops for fun just sounds like it'd be a neat match
I remember in your last video with these two Rumble guys you mentioned that they had a completely unique way of approaching the game but weren't ready to share it. Any idea if they are ready now? Or what that might be ?
I love how everytime the rumble players had the ball in the first 2v2 game, sunless just goes "I bet they wish they had tornado or Haymaker or something"
I would gladly pay to watch BO3 Rumble 2v2s in arena tourneys between games of standard 3s. Especially with top tier players like this, some of the moves and combos were just superb. In a live arena this would go off!
I'd love to hear the comms from both sides. It'd be fun to stick 3 top players against so3 and speedy+1 other without telling them they're playing rumble
wow rumble 2s is far better to watch, this was awesome! If you wanted to retry this idea sometime, then maybe changing the powerup counter to 5 seconds might be the edge the rngeniuses need to be competitive.
Props to the rumble pros for holding on! I understand that they are used to 3v3 rumble and you can see how they didn't always look for the rebound, but you gotta hand it to them for fighting it. And of course props to the pros, it shows just how well they can adjust to pretty much any situation and still kick ass.
If you were to do a 2v2 rematch, the rumble powerups should come out every 5 seconds to make up for not having a 3rd man on the field. Additionally the rumble players should be able to limit kickoff goals with this
As a Plat level player, I am constantly up against Diamond and Champ 2v2 players when I'm playing other modes like Dropshot and Snow Day. Every once in a while I'll be up against Gold or Silver too, but majority are higher level players. Those high level skills translate directly VERY easily to Dropshot, maybe just slightly lesser in Snow Day. I'm sure it's just the way RL is, but matchmaking really should take into account player ranks in other game modes. This video shows that sound RL mechanics can translate to other modes. Would definitely be interested to see more like this!
It was nice to see the top rumble players again, but it felt like the video would've been better with the comms instead of just the commentary. Great video nonetheless.
i really like this, but it should be 3v3 just like in actual rumble... it adds a diff dynamic to the game having a third person, especially if the rumble 2 are used to 3s you changed the whole dynamic and strategy they arent used to bc its 2s not 3s
ive played against them quite a bit in rumble and beat them the majority of times weve played. and im ranked champ 1 in 2's and 3's so the final scores wasnt surprising
Sunless, idk if you will see this but I think I might know what you have planned next, or something other creators are doing. I was just in a casual game of rl and my teammate was throwing, and I called him out, he said to 1v1 and we did for a little bit. But we started arguing and he made me rethink my toxic actions. I told him it was just like toxic takedown. And then he said “remember toxic takedown, WINKY.” He then left my party. Lmk if you know anything about that.
Normally the rumble players have the advantage of power-up creativity when against pros- finding unique strats to score with them. Unfortunately for them Beastmode and Chicago are both insanely creative as well
Remember according to rumble theory having a random third is more beneficial than having a third 😭 Edit: I’m not sure if this is right but I think it’s from the last time the two rumble players were on his channel.
kind of unfortunate that despite all their practice and expertise in rumble, they still lose to pro players both in normal duos and in their own game - also I know that they're playing 2s so its "unfair" because they're 3s mains, but keep in mind that they have randomQ teammates, so most of their skill revolves around the 2 of them only
"Luckily for Chicago tornadoes don't hit them very much" Sunless should try pro casting that's a brilliant line
Arent they literally called “the Windy City”?
@its_noah davin means he needs to be used
@Greg H grammar.*
rumble isn’t in rlcs…
@Clueless I’m just asking questions and stating facts lol I’m not arguing with you or trying to look any type of way. Copium lmaooooo
Man you guys tried
2v2 is so different than 3v3 but you guys still did well. With that being said, let’s put Sunless as the 3rd with the pros and let you guys get a 3rd top 10 rumble player..
I’m a sunless fan but they’d get clapped 🤣
I love you SO3 Im gc3 Rumble and a big fan
I can tell by your username that you are very good at rotations.
keep in mind that the rumble players are used to play 3v3. 2v2 is really different and that is definitly a disadvantage
Cope harder
Also remember that any Rocket League Tournament is also 3v3
@Brian Dunne 3v3 rumble is different than 3v3
You know what, I never thought about that. Thanks for sharing
no no no no no no you're wrong you're wrong you are wrong! what they have a disadvantage in (2v2) they makeup in advantages (knowing rumble very well). it's ultimately balanced and skill based
This could be a series. You could do the same for the other extra modes and even chaos!
I would love to see pros playing 4v4
pros will win in every category
There’s no way there are pro players for dropout.
Cbell already did that
Pretty sure someone already did it. And the pros won every game lol
I think the games might have been a bit more competitive with 3v3 rumble ngl because it would be more chaotic
True. Even with rumble on, the rumble pros had little chance since a good portion of the game had no powerups being used
This is the type of Rumble content I’m here for 😂. Your channel is what made me a Rumble main for a while after rarely ever playing it
I had some stupid hilarious ones even at Diamond 1 today which is around where everyone begins to really read every hit.
No Team Comms, we I think double gloved off their backboard then they somehow double plungered off our backboard into their own goal. My next match, still no Comms, had them boot me with spikes into an accidental upsidedown pass to teammate with spikes for a Buzzer goal on them.
What can I say I like a little RNG in my Rocket League 😆. The clips I have from rumble get pretty ridiculous
@ryan IT AINT THAT DEEP LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO💀💀💀💀
@Sorsprii that's not the sick burn you think it is. he plays a mode that makes him happy. the fact that you think that's a dunk shows your own insecurities more than anything
@ryan rumble being his main game mode💀💀💀
With 33% less power ups available in the game than usual the result is not a huge shock, would love to see this in 3v3 (or with bubble players or something)
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Speedy's anticipation and aim on that save at 9:07. A little disappointed there wasn't more reaction for that precision. 😂
All he did was clear it?
Great to see so3 and speedy back on the channel. I loved the first video with them
Same!!!
Yeah their chemistry is great to watch! Really enjoyed this one
That passing play goal between Chicago and beast mode was definitely one of those "I can't even be mad about that one scoring on me" moments 😂
I wish there was a post game interview. Knowing the two rumble guys i bet they were hyped for that game
And probably rather disappointed afterwards. At least I was.
Would be very cool to see this done in snowday, dropshot, and hoops
Hoops would go crazy
@Matt didn’t know Cbell did it , I’ll have to check that out
@Mal_da_beast_ 10 I know, I’m just trying to see it done again since it was so long ago. I know CBELL did it too
He already has
i would love to see this for the other game modes since they aren't as similar to regular rl which (hopefully) will result in more interesting games
Theyve been top 1 and 2 for over 3 years???? thats insane. mad respect thats wild. super impressive considering how random rumble can be sometimes
Great video! Would love to see a rematch with 3v3, would be much more familiar to the Rumble players
Can we get a 3v3 version of this? I want to see the rumble pros in their natural habitat.
the pros just have such immaculate ball skills matched with the ability to quickly place shots from really tough angles. not to mention how much extra space they get in the 2v2. in this setting i actually dont think there's any chance the rumble mains could win. they really only have a chance in 3v3 where all the extra space is taken up. great video as always lol
That was pretty sick. Just shows you how smart and quick witted you have to be to be a pro. Adjust and adapt to anything
@Roskal Raskal I tend to play as bad as the rank I play in
@CbrF4i600 Playing against c3 will make your mechanics feel like they suck compared to diamond 2.
@tommangan7 your missing more then just mechanics... I'm c3 and touched gc few times in 2s and my mechanics suck
This is actually way more entertaining to watch than playing rocket league itself! 😄😊😆
I think the pros just showed why they are pros- because of how quickly they are able to learn and adapt. Awesome video!
We need this as a series. Make more of this. I demand
I loved the commentary, it made the video super enjoyable to watch
Hell yeah, I've wanted to see some alternative RLCS matches where they do the more unique gamemodes. Like Pros playing Hockey/Hoops for fun just sounds like it'd be a neat match
they tried that wayy back, it was called "mid-season mayhem" but most of the pros didnt like it and didnt enjoy competing
Sunless needs to cast an actual RLCS series someday
I remember in your last video with these two Rumble guys you mentioned that they had a completely unique way of approaching the game but weren't ready to share it. Any idea if they are ready now? Or what that might be ?
not rotating?
I love how everytime the rumble players had the ball in the first 2v2 game, sunless just goes "I bet they wish they had tornado or Haymaker or something"
Can you make more breakdown videos like the one you did for the Queso save? Love your content
Damn this video was such a vibe. With the casting and music its so fun 💯
I would gladly pay to watch BO3 Rumble 2v2s in arena tourneys between games of standard 3s. Especially with top tier players like this, some of the moves and combos were just superb. In a live arena this would go off!
As someone who plays those 2 in rumble I can attest to their skill.
They're usually better without the nerves.
Anyone else wanna see Beastmode play Rumble with the other 2 Rumble Pros and unleash chaos in Ranked
I love Chicago and Beastmode but I woulda loved to see Leth because he plays all extra game modes and all of his maps at the same time 24/7
This was unironically thrilling to watch. NEW SERIES.
I'd love to hear the comms from both sides. It'd be fun to stick 3 top players against so3 and speedy+1 other without telling them they're playing rumble
That naked and afraid clip with beastmode as a bear had me laughing so hard
So underated. Keep up the good work😃
Love the rumble guys you are awesome magical plays 🙏
Sunless: Now let's get ready to rumble.
Me when playing 4v4: Now let's get chaotic.
Tbh, this is my line whenever I play 4v4.
Beastmode and Chicago showed just how cracked they are in this challenge for sure
Jusy noticing how much more mechanical and fast beastmode is compared to chicago is insane def teirs to pros its a joy watching him
"God, Beast mode is good" 😂😂😂 such a real reaction to that play
wow rumble 2s is far better to watch, this was awesome! If you wanted to retry this idea sometime, then maybe changing the powerup counter to 5 seconds might be the edge the rngeniuses need to be competitive.
My man SO3 🔥 I’ve gotten to play a few times in my grand champ games against him and or with him and man he’s insane.
i cant believe they got the entire city of chicago to come together and play a game of rocket league together
Would like to see what happens everyone spawns kickoff with a power-up already
14:22 yes... yes he did try to do that. Absolute mad lad at this game
when sunless, leth and retals all post in the same couple hours its gonna be a good night
Props to the rumble pros for holding on! I understand that they are used to 3v3 rumble and you can see how they didn't always look for the rebound, but you gotta hand it to them for fighting it.
And of course props to the pros, it shows just how well they can adjust to pretty much any situation and still kick ass.
I finally grinded up to C2 in Rumble. It's fun, but also C2 is top 1.6% I feel like queue times are going to be murder at GC1.
Yoooo
What a vid
Can already see how good this gonna be
Keep going sunless!!!
If you were to do a 2v2 rematch, the rumble powerups should come out every 5 seconds to make up for not having a 3rd man on the field. Additionally the rumble players should be able to limit kickoff goals with this
Glad to see s03 and speedy back!
i've played so3 and speedy in rumble before. it's ridiculous how unbeatable they can be when they're peaking
I'm just clicking on the vid and i already know it's going to be hella chaotic! but Of course as always, it will be fantastic!
@cody hatcher it is what I think lol
Rumble needs to be 2v2 or have the option. This looks way nicer than 6 power ups being deployed all at the same time 😂
yeah especially cos anything less than gc is just chaos as nobody has a clue when to use them
As a Plat level player, I am constantly up against Diamond and Champ 2v2 players when I'm playing other modes like Dropshot and Snow Day. Every once in a while I'll be up against Gold or Silver too, but majority are higher level players. Would definitely be interested to see more like this!
You should do it where one of each is kn the same team. They do a normal 2v2 then a rumble one.
This is THE pro vs. best at (extra mode) video I’ve been waiting for!
2:11 "It took them one minute and a half" . Close enough Sunless
wish we had some commentary from the players too. great video regardless
Anyone want to start a petition to make sunless a RLCS commentator? That would be the funniest but most legit thing ever.
Sunless needs to do a Rumble World Championship
For the next RLBS, Rumble needs to be a part of it
Pros positioning was impeccable.
This just shows how good pros really are
Petition to make SunlessKhan an RLCS commentator:
goal 1 for the pros in rumble game two had me shocked!! 😲😱 10:26
Been about a year since I was on rocket league yt and I’m so glad I now have a years worth of content to binge watch
As a champ 2 rumble player, I love watching these videos
14:21 "Did Beastmode just try to do a psycho haymaker?" Ofc he did, he's Beastmode.
you know someone is good at rumble when they can actually use the tornado
I LOVE how sunless sounds and laughs just like Seth Rogan
Awesome video very fun to watch!
Beastmode is so cracked, love watching him play 2s
I feel like sunless did this whole video for the sole purpose of saying “let’s get ready to rumble”!
That psycho Haymaker at the end would have been insane
Really want to see Snow Day or Hoops pros against RLCS pros 🙏
"He kind of... controlling the ball with it."
11/10 commentary
It was nice to see the top rumble players again, but it felt like the video would've been better with the comms instead of just the commentary. Great video nonetheless.
Its hard to set up rumble goals when you have 2 aggressive pros on the ball all the time.
Idea: you are the ball and can only boost to avoid the other players while they try to score on each other
i really like this, but it should be 3v3 just like in actual rumble... it adds a diff dynamic to the game having a third person, especially if the rumble 2 are used to 3s you changed the whole dynamic and strategy they arent used to bc its 2s not 3s
Next, a full 3v3 pro roster vs these 2 and their 3rd, please.
Honestly really surprised at how well the rumble players went against the pros
@Laina ok and? they should be winning either wya
@Great Value rumble is 3v3, these rumble players went against the best ranked 2v2 players
ive played against them quite a bit in rumble and beat them the majority of times weve played. and im ranked champ 1 in 2's and 3's so the final scores wasnt surprising
@SALGUERO MARVIN naw i know
@Great Value You wish.
I think a good summary of this video is 'did beastmode just try and hit a psycho haymaker?'
The thing is that over the years pros have also played tons of rumble for fun and are likely very good with the power ups
"Chicago just does a little flippy-flip and in it goes." - SunlessKhan, Feb 1st 2023
Normally the rumble players have the advantage of power-up creativity when against pros- finding unique strats to score with them. Unfortunately for them Beastmode and Chicago are both insanely creative as well
Remember according to rumble theory having a random third is more beneficial than having a third 😭
Edit: I’m not sure if this is right but I think it’s from the last time the two rumble players were on his channel.

i have a question for Chicagos goal explosion. Can you get the Extermination Achievement from that explosion?
Yo sunless , I’m currently d1 but I think I deserve c1-2 If you decide to make a vid about that like the past videos that will be cool
