I think a opportunity was truly missed in this episode for a more iconic moment in that the writers didn't include where Ellie fell in rushing water amd Joel had to save her and give her mouth to mouth. So wish that would have been in thos episode

Waller's appearance to warn Black Adam that she has allies, Superman in particular, could still lead to a close-to-the-vest project where Shazam (and Superman?) face down Black Adam. But, in good Kevin Feige form, everything needs to be hush-hush for now, and let the other projects collect all the fanfare. Plus, we still have to see how The Flash shakes up the DC multiverse, and who survives their Flashpoint.

I was nerves but I really like it , I brought my friend who saw the first one with me we both thought it was better then the first, My friend who is not into the superhero movies sad it was his favorite DC movie other then Wonder Woman 1 we talked about it all the way home we both really liked this Movie.

I actually liked Shazam a lot... I had low expectations, because the trailers didn't blow me away, but I was pleasantly surprised. It isn't perfect, but I believe it doesn't deserve to earn less than it's budget.. I'm just more and more frustrated by the studio and it's lack of support towards this movie/character.. I need to stop, otherwise this will turn into a rant against WB/DC 🤣

I'm afraid this episode is kinda dumb. If she wants to take out Pershing she could have just pushed him off of any of the tall places. Would save her the trouble and save us .75 episodes.

The basketball vs DnD game issue is so cut and dry to me. Dustin, Lucas, and Mike have been playing DnD for years. They all joined a DnD club at school and have committed to playing the campaign, and Dustin and Mike have no other friends outside this club. Lucas tried something new (albeit for shallow reasons) and he knows his friends have no interest in his new hobby. The campaign finale was scheduled weeks or months in advance, the day finally arrives, and the basketball game gets scheduled for that evening. The game wasn't even scheduled until the day of. Lucas should go if he wants, but insisting his friends disrupt the campaign, the DM and 2 or 3 other players, HOURS before the finale is unreasonable. I don't know what your DnD games are like, but they had to arrange transportation, people brought food, everyone was obviously invested. When I was in middle school and high school, my friends and I played sports, attended clubs, and had hobbies outside school, but we only attended each others activities if we were participating because we all had too much going on. If I had a chess tournament and my best friend had a soccer game at the same time, I'm at my tournament, and she's at her soccer game, and our friendship would never be jeopardized by something like that. I wonder how the "popular crowd" thing goes for Lucas

As someone who was in the military this episode was relatable. Take out the Empire story and everyone in the military has come across a new Lieutenant with zero field experience that thinks they know what's best. Also pretty sure a commander out ranks a Lieutenant.

Representation matters!!!! This is what art can do for a group of people. In 1986 spike lee said audiences were shocked to see two black people kiss in a mainstream movie. (She's gotta have it). When you are acknowledged by the main stream, its not longer taboo or looked down upon...you are accepted.

This movie was better than how people were reacting about it. The conflict with the sisters shocked the hell out of me, and Billy REALLY dying shocked me also. If they wouldn't have dropped that TV teaser then Wonder Women showing up would have been extra cool.

Don't mind me, just revisiting the best piece of Star Wars ever released.. Kind of a shame it happened to be in a mediocre show

I loved this one. Perfect escapism in my opinion. The humor worked for me, the family dynamic was there, the action was awesome imo, love the third act fight scenes and even got choked up a couple times. Idk what else someone wants from a film. Is it The Dark Knight or Infinity war? No but its a great popcorn film that leaves you feeling good.

I loved this movie. I had a lot of fun. Not a perfect movie. Not the Best movie. It is a very fun movie to watch :) The sad part was... we were only three people watching the movie :(

Dude, this is probably the best episode of the entire show because of that story; Imperial officers re-integrating; social and physical worldbuilding; high-minded concepts; nuanced plot and dialogue, and the wrap-up with that woman using collaborating with the Republic as an outlet of her sadism, by showing us her face eating a cookie; evil lingers! Brilliant; 10/10. They were flexing their storytelling and it was gold. Then I find a lot of people on KZclip hating it??? WTF??? This seals it for me; Star Wars is best when they tell the best story disregarding the fandom; Last Jedi, Andor, those world-building episodes of Boba Fett, and now this episode. Heed the fandom and you get Rise of Skywalker ruining the trilogy. This fandom almost ruined Andor. The problem isn't Star Wars, it's the fandom. It's depressing knowing for sure now that Mandalorian's showrunners have it in them, but they choose not to, they choose to pander to an immature fandom. Sorry

Loved hearing your take on this one. I was not a fan and the friend I went with wanted to walk out of it. lol I enjoyed the first Shazam for what it was. I felt this one tried too hard to be a "superhero movie" with the motivational speeches, swelling score, and heartfelt moments. It all felt too forced and on the whole was not executed well. A lot of what was somewhat charming in a silly way in the first film just felt really embarrassing in this one. Spoilers coming!! I absolutely agree that the Freddy/Anthea relationship should have been cut. It didn't work on any level for me. She's 6,000 years old, yet falling in love with a teenager (and also acting like one) after a day? Levi's performance started becoming annoying by the end. He's still acting like a 12 year old. The WW stuff would have worked better if she had shown up to actually help fight. The only positives for me were Mirren and the VFX looked surprisingly good for the most part. Mirren is an acting god, so it's not surprising that she's great here, even when she is given questionable material. 2/5 for me and half of that is due solely to Mirren.

I am watching some of their old videos after watching their new videos. The guy on the right still looks pretty much the same on their new reaction videos. The guy on the left has changed a lot, but I like him with the beard he has now.

Hubs and I saw it yesterday and enjoyed it very much. Not a great movie but a fun one. I can totally overlook any flaws.
