“Chang Can Dunk” follows Chang, a 16-year-old, Asian American high school student in the marching band, who bets the school basketball star that he can dunk by Homecoming. The bet leads the 5’ 8" Chang on a quest to find the hops he needs to dunk in order to impress his crush, Kristy, and finally gain the attention and respect of his high school peers. The only thing on her that fits Ariel's role is her voice. I must say it's quite a sweet singing voice.
She is so bad... the old original Arielle only wanted to leave the sea because of a man... blah blah blah... In the song part of your world alone you learn why she wants to get out of the sea and join the humans. The song was not written for her, but for the original. It's sad how she elevates herself above the original.
