How did you change your art over the headboard ?

I'm thinking that if you want a crafting room, that's great in that kitchen. And I'd Pop an upper opening to the butler pantry wall that shares the movie room and allow for a bar to inhanse the movie room ..now during holidays it's your happy hour moment and holiday entrance offering perhaps drinks music and appetizers on that main level. The counter in the pantry would serve as a great bar service and house lovely food serving opportunities...but totally love you and your home ...all the best!

Kitchen downstairs would be perfect for a snack bar with snack dispensers just like how it is in the movies/candy store. Open up the storage and do floating shelves and do a cocktail bar & coffee bar. A popcorn machine would be perfect too

I immediately felt a bit of envy seeing your downstairs breakfast nook next to the kitchen that you want to repurpose--I have always wanted a conservatory space with a nearby potting/ cleanup area. It looks like that breakfast nook gets lots of natural light that plants would love! But obviously this is not good if your thumbs aren't a bit green.

Definitely keep the pink bathrooms! Pink is such a cheery yet relaxing versatile color. I agree with some of the comments above the downstairs old kitchen would be great as some type of “entertainment”space with a nice bar cocktails microwave, little fridge, for your downstairs guest. Your parents might enjoy having their own little space. I know I do when I go to visit my kids. Art room with beautiful plants to have a glass of wine would be great too! Beautiful home Drew. Made your guests stay in that empty room and sleep on the floor on an air matress, instead of just letting them the other guest room, bc you decided its your parents room. Doesn't Marie have a say in all these decisions? You have 3 rooms for yourself and the finished guest room . Unless you paid for 90% of the house then I'd say you're been well unreasonable.

Maybe your second kitchen could be re-purposed as a spa room with a sauna/ steam room and massage table Congratulations on your home! It is beautiful and I know you will enjoy making each room your own over the years. Btw I always take off doors from bathroom to bedroom, and hang a curtain.

For the downstairs bathroom you should go old hollywood glam with all that pink tile and the sconces. For your bedroom you should do an accent wall, maybe a tan suede treatment and leave the other walls cream so your accent pieces pop.

Drew, you are not alone. Sleep deprivation is serious. I feel that anxiety causes insomnia and insomnia causes anxiety, it’s a vicious, vicious cycle that you can overcome but it’s frightening kind of always thinking it can come back, like flipping a switch. You’re a high energy person as am I. I have OCD, I’ve never been to a therapist or psychologist, I just have it and know that I have it. I’ve read some, not many and confirmed that I do have this. I’m always, always thinking about everything, certain things get on a loop in my brain and I can’t stop obsessing about it until, the next thing comes along for me to fixate on. If I decide I want a new car, it’s several months of nothing but cars, same with projects, same with shopping, same with work, it’s all one big fixation after the other and I settle for nothing less than perfection which is exhausting in and of itself. Your London story sounded to me like something in your past or maybe a lot of things in your past that may have caused you sadness or fear or trauma just all came to the surface and maybe that you still don’t know what flipped the switch that triggered this anxiety. If nothing caused the panic and anxiety while you were in London, then I’d say it wasn’t brought on by your location but by something traumatic in your past. My situation that this all happened to me stemmed from four major and terrible things happening almost all at one time and two were the deaths of my Mom and sister very close together, the other was being in a toxic relationship and not being able to exit from it because of the tragic deaths, it was the worst time in my life and I never thought I’d be able to sleep again. I didn’t sleep for almost a year and that made my mental state worse. You will get to the root of this and figure out what’s causing this and your eon the right track to getting there right now if you feel strong enough to share, this and some behavioral modifications along with just putting this out there to your KZclip family and sharing are all steps in the right direction. You’re a brilliant, caring, oh so sweet person that’s full of energy, creativity and ideas and you just need to funnel all of this energy somewhere but, you also have know when it’s time to turn it all off and go to sleep and rest your mind and body and you will. Slow down a bit and park it in neutral when you know you’re going to hard and working yourself too much. You’re going to overcome this and be at peace soon.

I adore your beautiful home. You’re right your bathroom does not fit the aesthetics of the rest of the house. The pink bathroom looks like art deco. It is awesome. You have great furniture in your bedroom. The arch openings are amazing. They elevate the look of the house I believe when you are working towards updating a room, think textured walls like wallpaper and curtains, of course pillows to add layers of texture. Talk items that reach the ceiling. Love your kitchen it’s perfect!
