This scene gets me in a way like no other movie scene. Can’t stop the tears coming from my eyes. By far the best film I’ve ever watched. What a masterpiece.

The first movie is one of my favorite movies of all time and the 2 sequels are also a blast to watch again and again, I just hope they keep the franchise like this and never start going Disney on it with remakes, reboots or unnecessary sequels.

I remember as a kid watching this on my grandpa's 15" b&w zenith tv wayyyyyy back. Loved it ! Must've been in the early 70's. Was rooting for Godzilla and didn't get the ending I hoped for.

My favorite part in the movie is when he leans over to fart and the kid collapses.

I've seen so many movies in my life. So many scenes designed to elicit a specific, deep emotional response. This is the scene that always, without fail, makes me choke up and feel what the actor is feeling. I've probably watched it 20 times at this point. It's such a wonderful, heartbreaking progression into complete despair, and the weight of it all hitting a man deep in the gut.

The best King Kong of all the make overs. Classic edge of the seat nail biter sequence. Bravo !!!

This would have been a solid film if they literally deleted all the human parts.

I just realized the one issue with this scene. Its one of the lines: "I didn't know I had to prepare that song." I would like to know when that mattered in this series!

Absolutely hated and dispised how this movie sucked any kind of enjoyment I had watching this. This clip and about two others were probably the coolest scenes of the whole movie. But the poor writing, lazy character development/straight up waste of characters, alongside confusing storylines with annoying predictable cliches make this movie a nightmare. -10/10 if you want to silently scream to yourself and need something to absolutely schite on. This is your movie.

Everything about this film, and this scene in particular, is so powerful. What particularly moves me is John Williams' music played by Itzak Perlman. Centuries from now, music from film will be regarded as the great classical music of our time.

I pledged a long time ago to never again get bamboozled and sucked in by anything Midnight Shamalamadingdong wrote produced or directed. All his movies seem as if a group of 1st yr film students got together and each wrote a different part of a story, but no one was allowed to read what the others wrote. Then all the parts were given to a different person and they were told to make a movie out of alll the parts, but they weren't allowed to make any changes. Will I be watching this? Short answer: NO. Long answer: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
