I'm planning on moving and living off-grid but my biggest trouble is heating. I currently live in a home with a wood stove and tried heating the house with it and not the central heating during the winter season (I'm in Canada) but the wood burns out obviously, I'd have to wake up at 1 am every night to fill up the fireplace so I don't freeze in the night. When I'm out working all day for 10 hours, I can't be home to stock up the stove and keep the house warm for my plants and pets. Does anyone have any knowledge or advice on how to make heating this way easier for someone who lives alone? Thank you!

This is incredible. I'm just starting to learn about this stuff. I had no idea how much energy the sun would put into a system as opposed to a generator. It of course depends on the size of the solar array, but still. 1000 on a generator that is using a consumable resource as opposed to 3000 with sun. Initial investment for a limitless system versus long term resource use.

please do a lean test on the railing to make sure it wont fall if someone leans up against it, kids can be silly and run and jump into it and hang off it, so you want to exceed the load just to be safe
